Good idea to get people to click, having your cat up there. I thought I was the only one with that problem. I have a cat always trying to help, but he knows nothing about fixing cars. LOL

What was the reason you had to change? My 2003 Seville won't turn over, brand new battery, we narrowed it down to a faulty alternator draining charge over night.

It stopped charging. We were quite a way from home and the dash lights and a warning came on 'Charging System Fault' or something and we barely made it home. It took a while, but was nice when it was complete. Still runs strong today!

@@luisdaroczi8181 Brake and transmission lines. That is what is failing next on this old girl. Repairable, but looks like a weak point, especially if you live where they treat the roads for snow and stuff.

**Please help** Problem I'm having . Didn't start car for week . It git cold while I was away . Went to start car and it's completely dead. Used Stanley 1200 portable jumper took but but lights work radio on . But when I turn key it just clicks tapping sound but won't turn on. Battery only two years old . Is it battery or starter alternator etc. I don't have much money . No one to help me . Will a jump from car be better then Stanley jumper or no ? Should I buy battery . Don't want to take repair guy cause they will charge too much.

Get a good battery charger. Tractor supply has some. And put it on the battery for a couple days.

I'm not too sure, I don't think they were too dirty, or I just powered through it. Take a look at the replacement for sizes and positions. Good luck, it was a pita, but worth it as she is still going strong- needs transmission cooling likes and brake lines next-

Mine have lots of oil and dirt on them

I think the oil filler port is right above the alternator, and before mine failed, I may have spilled a bit of oil over the edge, possibly finishing off the alternator? will never know.
