2003 Acura RSX-S (Track Tuned) - POV test drive

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Part 2 of my RSX Type-S review. This time around, we have Seigo's track-focused example that doubles as a daily driver. With a tuned motor, proper suspension, bucket seat, roll bar, functional aero, brake upgrades and more, this RSX is one of the more hardcore FWD cars I've driven.
Fun sections are at 8:28 and 11:57. Shared photo album: goo.gl/photos/fbwaBSyQKinVPZMDA

    Good analytic mind, but you gotta loosen up man, smile a bit or crack a joke. These cars are supposed to be fun as well as being numbers, figures, and part numbers.

    Not being able to see the hood is normal in a DC5. Can't see the hood with the stock seats in the car. Honda just mounted the dash high, and combined with the downward slope of the hood, it doesn't work well for front end visibility.

    This is much better than the other RSX. I would like to know how much of a drop he did on the Fortune coilovers. I use the Mugen SS setup, because I use mine as a daily driver too. And a regular coilover with linear springs would just be too harsh for my 1year old. But Fortune is an extremely good cheap route to take. Otherwise better look at spending 2k for a good coilover. And the guy hit the nail on the head. the RSX requires stiff springs in the rear to keep the rear end from moving too much. Because of the placement of the coilover. Not so much to make it a tail happy car, but to fix the suspension travel issues in the rear that the RSX has.

    I've been having a problem with my Rsx, it's idles rough for 10 seconds then dies. I've tried new spark plugs, new fuel pump, new fuel injectors, new fuel pump relay and lastly i tried this new o2 primary sensor. Still same problem, and when i check with obdII reader its gives me codes like, Primary o2 sensor heater malfunction, the o2 sensor shows 0 volts wtf? The secondary o2 sensor is showing voltage but the primary isn't. I don't know what wrong and I love my Rsx you can only imagine how much it sucks not being able to drive my car for the past 3 months because of this problem. Any ideas?

    Hi +Zygrene i live in Europe,i have a little question in your opinion well modified RSX will be better than stock Honda Integra Type R DC2? :) We have the EP3 but for me it's not good as like old Honda's i drive a EG Civic now. It handles pretty well and the sitting position is awesome for me,in EP3 it is higher.

  • @Zygrene

    @Zygrene

    I have not driven a stock DC2R so I can't comment on that, but a well modified RSX-S (suspension, drivetrain, brakes) is a pleasure to drive. But the lack of double wishbones and the heavier weight are inherent disadvantages vs the DC2R.
