We bought the Sienna SE last year, it's so damn good looking. It's cool having a minivan with a body kit and 300hp, I have no issues at all driving the minivan when the family is together!

Not a bad van at all. The grille treatment and headlight treatment remind me of a early/mid 2000s Cadillac Escalade, not real keen on that look though. Thanks for sharing.

Wow look at that van, so white! Also i used to have that toy a long time ago when i bought it, from "Tomica" *diecast type car* i'm sure you know that right?

I prefer the split headlights of the early Vellfire over the Alphards giant, one piece units. The split lights make it look more mean.

I got a sienna and id say the trunk is a bit more spacious. Also the folding under the floor rear seats add much more room to carry stuff then the fold to the side seats. Otherwise kinda similar, steering wheel is exactly the same. Too bad you cant remove the front console betwern the seats and walk across the whole vehicle. Also my 3.5 feels adequate, I cant really imagine such a heavy van with 2.4. Must be painfully slow

I think this car looks very good. The later generations, especially the latest has a very aggressive design, but I still like that as well, though not as much as the first gen

Wait...first you show the buttons for the power sunroof, then shortly after that, you manually deploy the flip up sunroof...what's the deal here? Power aft sunroof and manual only fwd?

I think the Elgrand’s interior is a lot more futuristic than this one, but this one seems to be more elegant. Still prefer the Elgrand though, always thought it was cool.

Derek, based on my owning experience 3.0 (gen 1) & 3.5 has better fuel consumptions due to greater number on its power to weight ratio. The fuel consumption I get from 2.4 gen 1 is only 4-5 km/l, just like Harrier gen 2. While the Alphard 3.5 (gen 2) can reach 8 km/l, even 10 on highway easily. But, the 2.4 or 2.5 (gen 3) is also better options if the country put heavily tax on engine displacement. Anyway, this is a great MPV and basic maintenance can run this car more than 200,000km. Just the tires, shock absorbers and brake pads replacement are a bit faster than ordinary MPV due to its size. 30,000 km on factory's Toyo Tranpath and around 40-50k km on shocks plus pads.

  • @PacificCoastAuto

Hi Robert, That's too bad about the windshield for you. Did you try importing one from Japan? It's good advice for people to realize that Japan-only vehicles in Canada won't have easy access to parts. However, all these parts are able to be bought from Japan.
