@@graemejohnson9025 So? Cobras were very successful road racers, although more the 289 cars I think. The world is plenty big enough for cruisers, track weapons, drag cars, off roaders, etc. Not everything needs to be fast on a road course. And take both to a long course like the Ring and the Cobra will probably hold its own or beat the 7.

Paint the Sprite yellow with black stripes, and you'll have a Cobra Mini-Me.

I'd rather paint them both in the correct BLUE color. Gawd, I hate yellow cars. Taxi/bumble bee/canary come to mind. Not Cobra.

Man when it fired up I heard Hot For Teacher in my mind it honestly did.

That short quick rev Bob gave it was just wow. That thing sounds bad to the bone. It’s a killer. No help with that thing if it gets out of shape.

When he takes off down the road you can tell by his lack of traction 600+ hp is definitely correct. Barely put his foot down and there’s probably a black 11 down the road.

That Cobra was some eye candy.

A trustworthy & capable mechanic is worth platinum.

There is an identical Bug-Eye Sprite showing as for sale on his website, also for $29k. I wonder if it's that one and he hasn't taken it down yet, or if it's another one for sale. Great video! I love the understated badge on the Cobra. Just to clarify, the 427 is the overcam racing V8 Ford produced in limited numbers. That 460 is more closely related to the 429, which was a completely different overhead valve engine.

Not all 427's were the SOHC "Cammer" engine.

Whoever owned that in Ohio obviously took excellent care of it. A beautiful car overall.

Great to have EuroAsian Bob on your channel.

$79,000 is a pretty sweet deal for that amazing Cobra. God, she's beautiful.

No. The body is from a british company called AC. The car was the Ace. It's design had nothing to with Shelby much less the SCCA.

@@ezacher4634 It's true the CCCA requires the space, but untrue Ace knew that when they designed the car as a road car, David West is making an amusing refrence to a scene in the recent Ferrrari vs Ford movie involving Christian Bale, a slegehammer a Cobra and a pettyfogging race official....glad to clear it up😎

The Cobra has been my dream car for a long time. I got to sit in a replica and unfortunately didn't fit very well. My knee was above thw door when I put my foot on the clutch pedal. Bob seemed to fit ok. I noticed that the Wizard didn't try it on! Beautiful car.

You would be amazed at the room and comfort in the Superformance. Lots of engineering. I think other brands are not nearly as accommodating.

Question for Bob. How do you get the smile off your face? What a machine. The sound, the look, the speed, the driving experience. WOW

I liked this car when they were just walking around it, but when he took off in it....wow that sound, I must at some point in my life buy something like this!

Nice presentation as usual. Of note; the front suspension has grease zerks that looked unused. The clutch slave cyminder appeared to be weeping. Keep up the good work with interesting cars!

Hoovie has known Bob a long time. If you caught it in his last video you'll hear that Bob was his best man when he got married. So I don't think Bob has an issue with it...it's just Hoovie

I owned a Mk1 "bugeye" in British racing green back in the mid-1970's powered by a 0.060" overbore motor (960 cc) with flat top racing pistons, modified cam profile, electric fuel pumps and Weber sidedraught carby. I am over six foot tall and this was the most comfortable, excellent handling car that I ever owned.

17:53 "pretty tame on the road": yeah, it can also get out of hand REAL fast lol....no traction control, no stability control, it's all the driver baby.....

Two of my all time favorite cars, the Sprite and Cobra, don't get much better. Thanks Mr. & Mrs. Wizard! 👌👀

When Bob started it up I was reminded of something Jeremey Clarkson once said about a shark in a funny hat.

I used to own a 1974 Trans Am 455 that had Hooker fenderwell headers feeding 4" sidepipes. You learned VERY fast to step wide getting in and out of it. My younger sister still has a scar on her leg from the passenger side pipe.

Been waiting since Hooptie Hoovie gave us the sneak peek!

Stock 460 is 250-360hp depending on era. Old high compression duel exaust was the high water mark for the 460 as it lost compression in the smog era and just hung on as a low compression truck engine. Big crank case will take huge stroker combos.

Amazing, I wish they were easier to come by here in the UK!

Bob is one kickass dude... he's got that Porsche 356 listed for $99k.. that kind of seems like a steal considering its all original.
