2001 Honda Rebel 250 Bobber Build Part 1
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Welcome to my new build series.
This bike is very special to me because a Honda Rebel 250 was my first cruiser and intro to the custom motorcycle world. In 2012, I had no idea what I was doing but I knew I wanted to start chopping bikes. 12 years later, with the knowledge I have today, I want to build another Honda Rebel 250.
Follow along with my journey and see how I transform this bike into something cooler than stock.
Like always, thanks for watching!

For some reason I always find the Japanese cruiser builds so much more interesting than the Harley ones, stoked for this!

I agreee 🎉 this is insane
First one for me too, bought from a guy who lost his fingers in an accident in 2009. Built inside my apartment in NYC. Great memories.
My first bike eva when it came out in 1985. Go little Rebel....

I also bought a brand new Rebel in 1985. But it was not my first bike. I started riding on a Bultaco Lobito 100 at age 8, in 1967. I got my first street bike, a '72 Suzuki GT380 at age 16 in 1975. I had a 1980 Yamaha XS1100 Special when I bought the '85 Rebel. I didn't need it, but I loved the look, and it was only $1200 brand new. I also bought a brand new 2016 Rebel, last year of the real Rebels. That one I am keeping, I'm going to ride it when I am no longer able to ride my bigger bikes.

@@geraldscott4302 well well, I cant keep up with all those beauties but I am super stoked about my new Ninja zx-4RR and I still have my XT250 and my fav Softail slim ! Live Free or Die 😎
I can’t believe how much I’m looking forward to seeing what you have in mind for this little Honda. Anything you decide to lay your hands on turns out bad ass. You take care and stay safe.
The absolute pleasure of light motorcycling….
My first bike too, looking forward to this build.

Same!
Can't wait to see, it's like you prestiged back to lvl 1 in Call of duty and just gonna run it back real well.
This is gonna be a fun one. Excited to see a chopper rebel that’s not just some hack job.
I don’t know why so excited to see this build. I saw the thumbnail and screamed at work “ Hell Yeah finally”. I can’t wait to see what you do.
3:09 No way that just came off. What comedy gold 😂
I think I was the first to do the kicker conversion in 1995 (that I know of anyway). I also hardtailed the bike, but I made the hardtail myself. I posted this stuff in the old surfmaine Honda Rebel forum, which is long gone, but I think the newer forum is still maintained. I haven't looked into it for a long time. Cool project. I also did a dual carb conversion on a Rebel many years ago. I built a few of them.
I actually have one of these in the back of my Garage. As soon as I've sold my Harley, I'm getting to work on it.
I'd like to see someone do a chopper project series with a Yamaha Bolt as a base bike. This Rebel project is different and that's a good thing.
Son, I'm so keen to see how this Lil Rebel turns out! 🤩 Love all you creation mate! I've still got my first bike 05 Yamaha 250 Virago It still holds a special place🙏 Keep doing what you're doing brother 👍🇦🇺
This is fun I just got an 86 that had been sitting for years. New starter, carb clean and some fresh oil she was purring like a kitten!
I’m going to enjoy this. Bit of me this Son. Even “Uncle Ken” will be able to ride this one! 🇺🇸❤️🇬🇧
I bought one of these recently and have used it to teach my girlfriend how to ride on it.
I think you should finish that and then ride it all the way to El Diablo before you let it go! Just to show people you never forget your first love!
The Honda Rebel was also my first bike, I’m stoked to follow this build! Keep up the good work!!
I just found your channel. You make some awesome stuff. I've been working on bikes and cars my entire life, and you make it seem so easy. There must be a lot of work going on behind the scenes that we don't see. Very excited to see how this thing comes out. I've always been a fan of Japanese bikes, so this is right up my alley.
I'm the same. I want to chop a virago 250 ( australia ) and use it as my "get some milk down to the shops ripper " Super amped for this , Wouldnt it be weird if this series blew up and was your most watched content. In todays economic troubled times... perhaps cheap chops are going to be the future.
Cool platform to start with man its gonna be real cool after youre done with it..... 🍻 cheers
First bike that started it all for me too!!!! Mine was a 1985 bobbered out!!!! Cool easy build👍
What a cool move! The pic you showed of your old Rebel was intriguing. To me this the apex of chopping, to take a humble motorbike and transform it into something cool. Looking forward!
Can't wait to see the results, who knew you can do so much with so little, well done ✌️😎
Just finished one of these! Now on to my sportster!
Takes me back to my MSF course, such fun little bikes!
Great canvas to start with
So stoked for this!
Stoked about this one!
Commenting for the algorithm! Can’t wait for this build!
Looking forward to this build 👍
I worked for the Washington DC police and we sold a lot of these rebels they were bulletproof sold one to a guy and he brought it back to show me and it was bad ass he made a manifold and put 2 carburetor’s on it and man did it run good he fixed it all up really nice, he worked in a machine shop so he made most of the parts that bike will last forever
Looking forward to seeing this construction, here in Brazil we have a lot of small motorcycles and it would be really cool to get this idea.
This is going to fun to watch!
Love the Rebels, can’t wait to see the progress
Pumped to watch this build. Taking it back to your beginnings….good stuff!
pure comedy when that side panel came off. will you ever do long fork with this bike ?
@LNSPLTBLVD

I’m not a fan of long fork bikes. Not my style
That's so cool there's a hardtail for it, off to a good start already.
Can’t wait to see what you did with this.
Thank you for the content you provide, it really makes me feel good, especially at the moment when in France we are being subjected to a fucking technical inspection on our bikes. Soon we will no longer be able to modify anything on our bikes!
i have been waiting for this, damn!!!
Stoked for this build.. it's what I want to do for my son's first bike
So invested in all your builds man. Keep up the good work!
✌🏻💪🏻 yeees!!! You continue and we will are waiting for the next video.
SO HYPED! Love these type of videos you do man! It's builds like this that got me hooked on your channel!
Man this is going to be interesting!
Eeeey. Round 2 with a Honda Rebel! Excited to see what you cook up this time.
I love this bike bro
I know no matter what you do it's gonna look Funky!!!! Good luck

Hondas never die!
This will be cool to make for my son one day
Hell yeah my brother
Back when they first came out, we used them for MSF Beginner Rider classes. Great small motorcycle.
Cool bikes after I got into 1980 Sportster XLH. Will be a good bike!
Otro nuevo proyecto, que me parece muy interesante y divertido. Lo voy a seguir, el resultado puede ser un espectáculo. Saludos from Spain🍻
Coincidentally I was reliving the Kawasaki Vulcan 800 series. Grateful to have a new video on the channel. PS: I love the videos, good luck on this build.
I do have a knock off of rebel 250 called lifan 250. Ill be lookinng forward on this series so i can get some ideas. Love your vids man.
Ive been waiting for this, as the honda rebel is quite accessible here in africa
Cool and calm as usual except when the side cover fell off “ shit shit “ it made me laugh. 👍👏🇬🇧
smol bikes rule! they can be just as fun as the big ones
@stopdacap2991

Maybe it's because they're easier to maneuver. They look hella fun 😁
oh this should be interesting, i was actually debating on getting one soon because theres a hardtail kit available... and i want something chill for around town that i can absolutely rip on but still go slow.
Yes sir 👍
Didnt know voodoo does a cmx250 frame now. When I had one there weren't any options like that. I made mine a monoshock swingarm and a pretty low bobber/racer look. Looking forward to see what you can turn it into!
I’m excited to see what tires you run. I’ve been looking for a vintage style but can’t find them in the rebels stock tire size. If you know of any… pass the info on man!!
Yes2 baam2 🎉
500 bucks! Is crazy
Do a super skinny hard tail.
Go scrambler with it with some knobby tires and high exhaust.

Now hear me out, I know you're inspired my Japanese bikes a lot but maybe do this one in the Malaysian, Pilipino, or Taiwanese style bikes you see coming out. They make some killer choppers out of what they have available.
@LNSPLTBLVD

I’m building it Lnsplt style
so i have an interesting question, i’m sure it’s been asked before but i never seen it, when you take an original bike(any kind) and you chop it off, smaller fender/gas tank/rear fender ect.., the weight reduction, does it affect the handling in any way?? thanks👍🏻😎
@LNSPLTBLVD
Ай бұрын
Not really. Bike is lighter for sure makes it easier to push around. We don’t really build choppers/bobbers for handling anyways

@@LNSPLTBLVD was looking at a video onyoutube about carbon fiber wheels, they where on a sport bike, the handling question came up but english being a second language it was hard to understand, i recently bought a 2006 yamaha roadliner, was looking to remove weight off the bike, with all the videos i seen from you i figured you would be in a better position to anser since your bikes are customs…..love the riding videos with your buddies❤️
my first was a '93 Shadow vtx600, chopped it bobbed it with blue collar goodies, now im a Victory fool... i own a highball and a cross country, you can check a few wikid burnouts on my channel, only 4 shorts up there right now but learning how to edit... Ill be 55 this year and still know how to git down...Question, what editing software do you use? or recommend for someone who is old enough to be really sheety with computers

You cheated. No front Fender and exhaust rap. You bought a bike Halfway customized.😂😂😂 I'm still waiting on that customized 70 mini Trail. Be careful, ride safe.
Nice little bike, looking forward to seeing you do your magic👍Montreal Quebec Canada 🇨🇦
