Oh man, after getting out of RC in the early 90s the Evader was what brought me back! I bought the buggy around 2003. Fast forward to around 2015 and I found an Evader ST in a thrift store among the toys for $7.99! It needed some work but parts were still easily available at that time. It really was a great platform, I was sad to see them go.

I bought my 2 nephews one of these for Christmas 2004 they were excellent racing trucks for $160 each. They spanked me on the track with my RC10T4 after a few months. 27T stock 6cell ST class.

I had a "Race" Losi XXXT CR for my racing stadium truck. I also had a cheap evader ST for when friends came over and wanted to play. Yes, I have my own oval track in my yard. I let my one friend race with me once. And he won the A main with my beater evader I loaned him.. Proving that it's the racer and not the rig.

I miss mineee. I Wish I never got ridof it. My dad bought it for me when I was 8 years old in 2002. Mine was the Purple ody have the Shark 1500 battery, Birdman Moro and a Dynamite Speed Conroller, upgraded wheels and tires and upgraded steer gear Steering Servo.

I’ve got one of these that a friend have me and was in excellent condition. I’ve cleaned it up and popped a brushless system into it and it flys! I’ve kept the old motor and esc, so I’ve got the original parts. Thanks for a great video 👍🏻

Great video I had one of those exact same color as well. I actually still have my Duratrax Evader Pro buggy. I painted the body to resemble a retro Kyosho Scorpions..lol!!

That is what I have. Moving everything over to Graphite frame and aluminum parts That I purchased years ago. Getting back into it. Current Truck has a busted shock Mount. I want aluminum. Cool Video.

I wish I could find one of these again. It was my first REAL hobby grade rc. I think I was 10, maybe 11. I had the green one too, with the mechanical speed control. I had the traxxas spirit street truck was my very first.

Absolutely great rc! 7.2 nimh 3000 mah you should be good. I use Venom packs.

I just picked up a silver evader st for $50, these classic stadium trucks are too cool.

@@LukesVintageRC fun times for sure usually only ran practice nights but we got stuck having to run on a race night and I pulled 3rd in the class with a box stock evader against all the hopped up hpi and team ae trucks I was 10-11 years old the youngest one on the drivers stand definitely a memory I won’t forget that little truck was just fast enough to clear the big obstacles if you didn’t get caught sliding through the corners

Hi, the potential window on this vehicle really did remain open by many rc manufacturers of popular rc and hop up brands notably HG among others. Note: If there’s a market than you bet there’s the aftermarket. Thanks 😊

Some new tires all around would probably do this fine, there are still 2.2 inch stadium truck tires after all so worth getting some even if they might not be the exact tire thread, it wasn't uncommon for stadium trucks too end up with bald rear tires & replaced anyway heh, specially once brushless systems came around.

They copied the Losi XXT design yes. But the Evader was better than the XXT in every sense! Only real issues with the original Evader was the idler gear was a weak link.

Ive had mine sine 04. Working on the steering issue now. The servo link hits the right front post that holds the right steering link

Does your controller have servo end point adjustment? And is the servo arm a stock replacement? It shouldn't hit that post or come close if it's a stock replacement.

So they were really into aftermarket things like racing tires. 1980’s time line. They began making rc later 90’s up. Theydefinitely earned there recognition. Thanks

you have to use a lipo compatable esc or it'll fry everything.

can you explain how to connect the controller and the Rc?

Hi, it depends on your radio. If it’s 27 or 75mhz am or fm then it’s using crystals for signal. If it’s 2.4ghz it’s digital and typically a beep is heard. Obviously there’s an esc or msc for power delivery within the rc. For a better understanding watch rc for beginners on KZread. The more you know the more you grow.👍🏁

Honestly one of the best trucks to date! Besides the Clodbuster. My Evader stuff is still my favorite to this day! I have the one and only Duratrax Evader No Prep Drag car. Check out BC Race Cars on Facebook! Awesome video! I used to hurt Losi MF2 and Associated T4 feelings back when I raced my Evader ST Pro back in school! I'm gonna do it again with the No Prep drag car 20 years later! Lol

They got a bad rep for blowing the diff. There was nothing wrong with it. It was the fact that they were owned by noobies who did not know how to maintain and adjust a ball-diff
