Soundtrack of Super Mario Galaxy is truly epic.
I think the reason a lot of us miss our childhood so much is because the real world has become such a mess that remembering the good old carefree childhood days is the only thing that brings us some peace in an ever increasingly chaotic world. Many people move into adulthood with no problems, however I fear the future won’t be anything like we imagined it would be. But I can always look back to my childhood and find some comfort, at least the world made some sense at one point in our lives. Everyday felt new and there was always an adventure waiting for us…
@OneNamelessHero

The world has always been messed up, you just get exposed to its more with time, which is why we cling onto those old times of innocence when we could just play games without a single worry. Regardless, I am still having fun with games (and just life, despite hardships) from time to time.

It's always been messed up but the economy for most and the reality of things in society have definitely gotten worse and worse, genuine human interaction these days has become increasingly rarer and rarer, it's all so superficial and it's sad you don't see people just hanging out at parks and having picnics just enjoying the sun chatting like they once did but it's alright as will all things in this life its temporary, things may suck but have faith that things will work out and one day the magic will come back into our lives :)

Reading your comment was nice, though I have to add in a weird way when looking back--thinking of all the celebrities that 90s kids had, and the nostalgia I want to recapture but can't quite get right, never more have I understood "The way is shut. I doubt a single person moves into adulthood without problems
this video has reminded me that even as a 21 year old, that child who would get so excited from just turning on the Wii, still exists within.
as a 7 year old, the wii and ds was my home. My parents weren't the best, always fighting, so I just had a few friends at school who I played Mario kart and animal crossing with. The whole soundtrack of almost every Nintendo game just calmed me and just helped me get away from the stress of real life. Every dollar bill I had was spent on the new Mario game, or Mario party. Nintendo raised me, but I feel like they have just fallen into a state of "I want money >:(" instead of actually putting personality into each and every console, and game. This video just made me cry uncontrollably, and helped me realise that Nintendo is a part of my life, and older consoles will be a part of me, and with me always.

As a 19 year old, the DSi, Wii, and Wii U were my home, the same went for my mother who wasn't the best towards me but the Nintendo Soundtracks gave me relief too, i also agree that Nintendo has gone greedy and doesn't have much love and personality they put in their games like they used to..but they will be a part of me growing up as well
My family had to sell my house right around the time I turned 18 due to money getting tight. It was a hard time for me emotionally and it was one of the hardest things to let go of the one home I knew all my life up to that point. My fondest memories of my childhood were the times when I had no other responsibilities than going to school and running home to play Super Mario Galaxy or Smash Brawl on my crappy crt. After all these years, I can finally look back in retrospect with a smile and be thankful for all the memories I had in that house with games like these. If you're someone whos been stuck in the past as I have, remember that its okay to miss those days and yearn for them. But remember to also appreciate where you currently are and most importantly; love yourself as you are right now, because without these memories you wouldn't be who you are today.

@Vaquix000

@@H3Vtux A lot of people that work at Nintendo (I'm looking at you, Shigeru) like to pretend adults don't play games and that's why they make their stories as non-existent as possible... even though kids like stories. I don't need big deep stories in a platformer, and Certainly don't want long cutscenes ruining the pace of the gameplay - but the scenarios have to be fresh to make the experience memorable. Can't just do the same thing over and over. That's why my best mario memories were actually the ones before Mario 64 because bowser was already quite stale at that point. The magic fades if you just have the same situation over and over.
I'm currently 30 years old, and have officially hit the "I remember when I was your age..." comments. The opening track of Super Mario Galaxy literally transported me back to Mario Galaxy when I got it from my brother for Christmas and we played it all day long. Such a wonderful time being able to enjoy these classics and their music that I am sure I will remember the rest of my life.

Man I remember lt like it was yesterday back in 2021 I had saved up enough money (40 bucks to be exact) to buy myself Mario galaxy wii I was so exited that day I asked my mom if we could go to the mall and buy it we did the very next day I ran all the way to the GameStop and immediately grabbed the best looking cover of Mario galaxy. I excitedly walked up to the counter and paid for my game finally after 2 weeks of saving I had finally had one of my most favorite Mario games for my Wii!! I couldn’t contain my excitement as soon as I got home I ran to my Wii and booted it up me and my little brother stayed up until 12 playing it it was a blast and eventually a week later I had beaten the game.. memories.. I wish I could experience playing Mario galaxy one more time again.. thank you Nintendo for the memories

When that Paper Mario TTYD track hits…
You really picked out a lot of my favorites. Kakariko Village is truly the greatest video game song ever, I swear that place is my 2nd home with Lon Lon Ranch. I've spent countless hours of my life just wondering that village and taking in the sweet vibes. The sound of the windmill turning, the cuccoos squawking, the view of Death Mountain, the beautiful sky, each and every villager... I can vividly imagine it all every time that song plays. You picked out a lot of other good songs too. Great playlist!

Lovely selection! I've been replaying the Zelda's recently. Grateful for these games still being there after my dog passed away. I was a small kid when we got him as a puppy and it hit me quite hard that I had to be a part of the decision making when we had to put him down recently. Really feels like a part of my childhood is permanently gone. I'm finding lots of comfort in my childhood games because of that. Oddly enough replaying Majora's Mask really helped me with processing it I think. I have a tattoo of my precious dog Odi on my arm and I learned the song of healing on my guitar which helps me acknowledge the grief, but allowing the sad feeling to be there also allows it to pass through. I have decided that the time I would've spent on his welbeing I will spend on my own.

I'm a classic song and that one tear brings old to my eyes. Thanks for posting.
man aquatic ambience gave me genuine goosebumps, donkey kong country was one my main games as a 4/5 year old, now i'm nearly 21. an underrated, beautiful piece
I feel like things are coming to a close for me. I have become so disillusioned with with my crumbling existence and none of the escapes I used to use to cope even work anymore. I've expensed every last resource and I feel it would break me too much to continue on. The short lived life I experienced on this cosmically obtuse timeline already destroyed by a society whose values and expectations have warped far beyond anything I could ever comprehend. The difficulties of navigating these social interactions are little more then obstacles until I retreat back into my loneliness where the excruciating agony of feeling completely isolated from any other person is the only pain I have to worry about if I disassociate from anything that happens outside of these walls. This beautiful music that a younger, happier version of myself grew so attached too is now the only remnants I have of the joy I once felt. But now even that comfort is fleeting. Giving up is my only way out of this never-ending slowly decaying nightmare that I awake to every day. All I want to do now is let this music of my past wash over me as I slowly fade away into the ether. And I'm not afraid. Nothing could be worse than this hell. I want to be free.

Going on 25 come Thanksgiving, and I just lost my mom in July... So this stuff reminds me of when we used to play Mario Party, and pull out the N64 they had... Still remember holding that controller and feeling the joy of beating levels in Mario, or figuring out puzzles in Legend of Zelda... I remember having the wonderful world of Animal Crossing, where my mom, my brother and myself shared a space... It was so fun to come home and unwind... The world seems so much colder now... Im glad to have these songs to remind me of times so much better than now... Even the melancholic ones bring some sense of catharsis... Thanks for sharing this mix -- it eases the soul for sure. 👍

I still live in the same home I grew up in. It's a different kind of nostalgia to look around my house and think about how it's changed since I was young. Fittingly enough, the spot where I once played Wii and Gamecube games on a chunky CRT is where my desk is currently, and that's where I often play the same games from my childhood on Dolphin Emulator due to no longer having a Wii or a Gamecube.
what a specific mood and I am there all the time every hour of every day
I'm a hard of hearing man with a 80% hearing loss at my 25. I know someday will be the last day I'll be able to hear my kids, wife and any song at all. I know someday I'll lose the ability to travel through time. But it's beautiful for now. It's a beautiful day today.
POKEPARK!!!!!!!!! It’s been soo long since I’ve heard this music, but I recognized it instantly :D thank you for putting it in this mix!!!
