2000 Toyota Corolla A245E Transmission Teardown Part 1
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
This is the first part of tearing down to the Corolla transmission in order to see if the Reverse issue is being caused by worn friction disks in the clutch pack.

This reminds me of Dr. Nick from the Simpsons working on a patient. "Oh, what's that? I've never seen that before." But your courage is contagious and you give me the confidence to work on mine which is starting to act up. I have no choice I can't afford 2K or 3K for a rebuilt one.
This video earned me $30, sold the differential
I lost reverse too. It ended up being the underdrive break piston. Totally the other Shaft you are working on. All away down in the transfer case end. I had a snap ring groove failure. The piston was not pushing. I recommend you get the Toyota repair manual for the A245E transmission. And don't do it outside in the dirt, transmissions need to be very clean!
Dude!! Don’t use the crowbar! Just use a dead blow hammer all around it. The crowbar will cause potential leaks due to possible damage to the machines surfaces.

Hi Thanks a lot for the upload. Could u please share part 2 as well?
where is part 2? I just want to know if the differential can be removed once the bell housing and oil pump is removed; it appears like it can, but I wanted to see in a video. I think I have some pretty wasted spider gears (they didn't look too great in your transmission either)

I have a p0741- torque converter clutch solenoid circuit performance or stuck off on a Toyota Corolla 2006(A245E) transmission. I get a clunk sound when I engage transmission and when transmission is cold, when hot I do not hear any clunk sound. I was able to split it up today. Found out 2 out 3 stator bushings are bad. Don't if am right about this part . It's just located on the first planetary gear that carries the input shaft. Black in colour. Do you think those are the stator shaft bushings. From research found out they are the most common problem. All other parts( torque converter, pcm, lock up solenoid, valve body. hAve been found ok. Any pointer
Are there any yellow metal parts in there that contact the gear oil? There are some gear oils that may damage metals such as brass or bronze due to high sulfur content. I'm assuming that the Corolla is similar to the Camry of the same year...
When replacing the friction rings (the dark yellow rings with the friction material on the) do you also have to replace the steel rings that they are placed in between?
What happened to part 2 of this video
where is the part 2 ?
Where is the stator shaft bushing located
Nice video but I dont think there is a Part 2. SURPRISE! Eric the car guy tore this Corolla trans down in his old YTs.

is it the same trans model?
Where is part 2?
I wonder if when you put the transmission in the new used one you might have broke the pump you have too be careful drawing a transmission together with the bolts if you do this way you need make sure the torque converter spins freely the whole time bcz if torque not installed all the way your gonna break the transmission pump
Well I want to know WHERE'S PART 2. What happened to the trans was it just forgot about or what damn.

nice
Hi Wat about Toyota Camry
❤❤
Where is part 2
So for my understanding, a AT uses electronics to engage the gears into drive or reverse, right? So it could be bad gears seals and band, or an electrical problem that causes slip or gears from engaging, right?

How likely is it that the differential bearings go bad, one cv axle barely moves where it enters the trans, and the other side move 3 or 4 times as much and it shakes, I’m not talking about the cv joints having play, I’m talking about grabbing the solid spline end of the cv’s where it enters the trans

If you have an Overdrive button on the gear selector, you have a 4 speed. If not, you have a 3 speed
