@@boss12 I’m gonna have to say that I too got addicted to cars cuz of motorweek, which I first saw in 1992, ever since then Pat and John have been my car mentors. I can’t believe how long it’s been….over 30years of religiously watching them get older and older, as myself got older too, from being 7 years old to being 38 years old this year….I wouldn’t be the car nut I am today without motorweek! And who could forget about my childhood crush Lisa barrow!!

So I am sure that at least 1 person here in this thread has heard about the death of Pat Goss, & with that, I have a GREAT idea for either a future Retro Review or a future program. A commemorative episode of many of the segments, including reflecting on working with him, as well as hot mic camera sections that never make it to TV.

  • @boss12

Brolin of Traffic (2000), wife Barbra. I had a ‘99 base 911 with LSD, forged wheels, and a lightweight Auspuff. Amaaaazing car, 6 speed, 2900lbs, a little over 300hp amazing when it comes on-cam about 4500 that song. These have always been able to add suspension - such crazy stiff chassis - and go off-road. This bit of trivia was hiding for a while ha.

My buddy Ron Griffo and I were fortunate enough to be the route guides on this trip. I was also the guide for the press introduction of the Cayenne in 2002 when Porsche supported maintenance of Clark's Grade, an original route up and over the mountain ridge into Big Bear Lake, California, as part of their Cayenne Crossing Initiative. A very fond memory for me and the reason there is a 2008 Cayenne Turbo with a locking rear differential in my garage right now.

If you go to the right fabricator, you can buy custom strut spacers. You’ll still need adjustable lower control arms though. I agree, $15,000 for a lift kit is too much. You can get lift kits for any generation WRX for a $700
