back when margin of victory was in the BCS formula... if Miami scores 50 we probably play OU...or at least that's what was claimed.

All these years later, 2000 Miami got so fucked by the BCS. Beat 1 and 2 teams in the nation, yet FSU gets in above Miami. No doubt in my mind, the way the 2000 team was playing, OU would have been destroyed. Dorsey played his best football in 00- His footwork got worse and worse throughout his career. I think 00 team is the 3rd best Miami team to not win the title (86 and 88 are 1 and 2 IMO).

+T G I agree Miami would've beaten Oklahoma had they played (And this coming from an Oklahoma fan). I still don't know how Miami wasn't picked. I think what prevented them from being in the title game was that loss to Washington.

The BCS margin of victory was the reason why they did not make it- I believe it was McNeese St where they won by less than 3 TD's and that small margin was enough by the computers. The loss to UW hurt, but it was at the beginning of the year. You lose 1 game, beat 1 and 2 teams, yet the team you beat gets in above you with the same record. It was a complete joke.

Fool announcer said he thinks Florida State is a little bit better than Miami. Miami already beat FSWho earlier that season this assclown announcer probably helped vote against Canes to not get in against OU damn the computers. The hate was just as real then as it is today. GO CNAES FOR LIFE!!

they won by 3 whole points at home on a missed kick. Head to head isnt the only thing. Teams win super bowls against teams they lost to in regular season. 2000 fsu should have been in over miami to me
