That blue electrical box looks to be a solar charge controller. Regarding the microwave not working, like mine when using generator the shore power plug has to be plugged back into the outlet in the coach, usually in the compartment housing the shore power cord. Those rigs to me are better outfitted than the new sprinter style rigs approaching $200K... It was a good buy for someone, hope they use it.

That little blue box is the solar charge converter.
Have one that's the 192QS, has 39,000 miles on it in great shape, only downside it's missing the generator
at least there is a shatter a plus
$6,000? Why not just buy a new generator? I love these old vans, perfect for a beach weekend without spending a ton of money.
