    D. G. Thanks for coming across another outstanding piece of American pride and to the owner as well for his barn find and bringing it back. If he only had he had it painted it’s original color that really would’ve stood out even more, but excellent restoration job very, very, very well done. Sincerely Yours Truly Ivan I J

The late 50s early 60s Mopars were so quirky and futuristic, to the point there was nothing like em on the road. I so loved those days, and these designs!

@@MyClassicCarTV - Dennis, what year did you record this episode? Greetings from Canada! Long time viewer, used to watch you on Speed channel I think. Did you ever hear of British Car Day in southern Ontario every September? Usually more than 900 cars.

One of the things I loved about the ol' '63 Le Baron I used to have was the rectangular steering wheel. It was better that the round ones. I miss that car.

My sixth grade teacher had a car very similar. I remember 4 individual headlight buckets. One day she was very upset. She explained that she lost the diamond from her wedding ring. A few days later she was very happy. The diamond was found in the floor mat in the car.

Mopars have bodycolor under the hood, if it were a Ford or GM it would be fine to flat black the engine bay but on a Chrysler product you really do have to paint the bay...Also I'm pretty sure thats GM synergy green metallic...

Nice 61 Plymouth. I'd fix the suspension on it so it wasn't sitting in the dirt and I could drive it. It must have broken springs & shocks. Leave it like that and soon the floors, tank & frame'll rust.

It's funny how back in the day what was considered an ugly car is so cool now. Compare a '61 Plymouth to a crappy Tesla. That Plymouth is sweet! The rat rod however is just plain stupid. I wish this flattened look would just end already. It's just dumb. And also cars that are literally rockers on the ground when parked is also stupid.

This was a trend that peaked some time ago and has been declining in popularity for a while. This was shot in 2010. Rat rods are sort of the in-your-face counters to the shiny conventional car culture. Still, even tho most of them are death traps, they represent interesting studies in anti-establishment gonzo engineering. There's a lot of creativity in some of these cars. It's just kind of weird creativity.

Probably the ‘62 Dart, but even that was so weird that it’s actually kind of cool now in its own twisted way. There will certainly never be another car like it. Besides, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
