All amazing riders, anyone who says that they were not fast enough doesn't know anything about Grand Prix motorcycle racing (500cc V4 death machines). No traction control, no wheelie control, no wings, no launch control. Complete control by the rider. Valentino Rossi finished 2nd in his first year on 500 amazing achievement.

2 strokes 500cc bikes had some electronics in their last years, not as much as today but they had it

@@saranoxxis no they did not. The only electronics they had was CDI units. Can't have traction control, launch control, wheelie control with carburators.

I agree and another thing that bugs me is when they say the riders now aren't as good because they don't ride the old bikes. The riders are all capable of riding any generation of bikes if that was the time they were born. Like If Rossi was 20 right now he would dominate the same way he did in the early 2000s. If Rossi raced in the 70s or 80s he would have been just as dominant and that goes for all the riders. The riders in Motogp have always been the best of the best the only thing that changes is the machinery and technology.

Rookie of the year... Vale was extremely cute and sweet.. ^^ in this race Vale 21 yo and now he's 41y 2mo.. time flies so fast, his smile and body language is never change... forza vale.. #legend 💛

Awesome race,one of the greatest late 500 races and one of my all time favs but this is indeed already available on KZread. I would love to see Phillip Island 2001,which was equally exciting and turbulent with alot of the same protagonists and it decided the world title. Definitely the closest and maybe most exciting battle biaggi and rossi ever had. Please give us this classic banger ! 😃I am sure a lot of long time MotoGP-Fans will appreciate it alot and even newer fans could see how crazy early Valentino Rossi was especially when battling Biaggi 😁 I also want to say thank you guys though for all the free amazing content over the last weeks in general,amazing stuff !

Spangi! Great race and an all Italian outcome. One of the best 500 F1 races I've seen. More passing and lead swapping than the announcers could keep up with. Good to see Yamaha come out on top, but oh, those Hondas.
