I wouldn't say it died it's just underground. The 80s 90s will never come back or the production methods and generation that captured that vibe sound and attitude but there's still great DM bands around.

Malevolent Creation is the most underated death metal band of all time

I love Frozen Soul, 200 Stab Wounds and Sangui. Just because they're big and some people who don't normally like death metal like them doesn't mean they're bad musically. It's good stomping filthy death metal, it's not tech wank death or prog wank death or deathcore. Sorry you guys are too jaded and trying to prove yourselves to see that. I know how long I've spent in the underground, I've got nothing to prove to anyone, and can enjoy shit I love.

You're allowed to like them. But when you get all butthurt just cuz some jokes were said by guys who don't care for them, you come off as looking weak and silly. Just because you like them, that doesn't mean you can't chill around this crowd and listen to Justin's videos and enjoy them. That's entirely up to you. I mean, what if I had a band, sent Justin a demo to review, and he shit on it hardcore? Yeah, River's Edge was the first that came mind for me. I remember watching it years back and hearing Show No Mercy. Very good movie too. Necros Christos is (was?) fucking damn good, as far as newer death metal bands. But more on the doom side, so I can see why the Dawg might not be into them. For me, all their shit is excellent.

That being said, Kill Division does rule. I'm going to listen to it right after Sangui, because I love both bands and I have a mind of my own.

I like 200 stab wounds is in every city there bands that sounds almost the same are better sometimes

I dig about every DM band even six feet under and torture killer. As long as it chugs grunts and is heavy and crunchy. Are they og no but it's DM and the more DM the better. I would like analog to return though and loose the perfect production and return to a more live sound.

I’ll never understand why he feels the need to bash any new death metal band that gets any serious attention. But whatever I guess, I still think Frozen Soul & 200 Stab Wounds kick ass! 🤘🏼

@@heathertiller3644 well id say they are totally metal instrumentally and vocally.But alot of the people in this bands aren’t your stereotypical 90’s death metal vinyl collecting gatekeeper type. And it shows in the way that they arrange their songs. They lean alot more towards a hardcore style then a guy like justin would like.

Frozen soul sold out to lable pressure on the second album. It wasn't good at all. First one was ok. I dig most metal though not picky.

I personally think 200 stab wounds is great. I mean it's cheesy as hell but that bass tone is killer. I think they are almost mocking death metal .

Why are they embraced by the hardcore community if they are a death metal band ? I get there is a crossover between the 2 genres but doesnt it make you go hmmmm why certain death metal bands get embraced by the hardcore crowd and others dont ?

So no I dont understand why the hardcore community embraces non hardcore bands other than these other bands fall into those scenes because their own local scenes arent as strong.
