At about 160 that Super Charger started Whistling and what a Beautiful Sound it is great Job hitting 200mph this got my adrenaline going and I wasn’t even in the car...lol 😂😂😂

Abdulrahman Alhussain I’m guessing if you are talking about the whine, that’s the transmission making all that noise. When it rotates faster and faster, the gears are moving so fast they are making vibrations. But it’s common in these type of hellcats.

It doesnt have a governor if thats what you mean by restrictor. All SRT products come from factory without governors. Even the old 6.1SRT's arent chipped.

@@SRTBOAT All cars produced by manufacturers are equipped stock with a computer chip that set at lower than engine capabilities "governed". Except I'm sure if you got like a drag pak challenger they are probably set to full capabilities.

@@francesco1998 There is no electronic limiter on this car. We were making a top speed pass in the standing mile. After the mile it is shutdown time or a person would drive off the end of the runway :) We hit 205 mph just past the mile in this run last October. Are honda accorda big racing cars had one for 4 years and it hit 250 000 miles and i got rearended by someone going 70 an i was goin 45 so it totaled out but it only had minor frame damage

I work at an airfield and airfields will do this all the time for fast cars. That whistling sound is the wind because of how flat airfields need to be. I hear it everyday in our airfield truck and there’s nothing like it

Awesome video! Congrats on the 200mph club! What was going on during what looks like the 3-4 shift, or maybe it was 4-5 shift? It seemed like the rpm kind of stalled around 100-110mph or so.

Further back than that, my friend. In 1973 I bought a Challenger, 340. That car, at the time was thought by many to be ‘fast’, however when I had taken possession, I discovered that because I didn’t pay attention to the details, I was in for DISAPPOINTMENT! HP was down to 235 or so and a buddy who had his mom buy him a 1968 Torino, 390. Well, our ‘drag’ race was over before it began. Nice sound but a DOG because of the emission controls mandated by government. Great looking car IMO, but I was so chuffed!

I was wondering how the heck you got up to 200 so quick.....then I read how much HP you're pushing, lol....made sense! I've had my stock Charger HC up past 200mph a few times (204mph w/2 passengers), but I needed a little bit more than a mile of autobahn to do it! Nice video - have fun & stay safe!

With the aerodynamics of the Challenger it was an impressive run to hit 200 MPH in a standing mile on only 900rwhp. We will return to the track for more 1 mile top speed racing in October with some new efficiency changes that should improve the performance of the car at the current HP level.

chris dillon nope hes right the ls motors are superior to the hemi in terms of power and reliability kinda like the 2jz motors. however the king of the motors goes to the coyote motors which is quiet funny. if you got the money the coyote motors are indestructable considering the issues they are having with the 18s. but that's what you get when you put so much money into a motor like ford does.
