You can pick up a DTM style connector that will do that for ya if you're going for waterproof.

Which fan cranked out more cfm? Would it be beneficial to get two of the same fan blades instead of the left and right one?

Which fan as in the left rx8 vs the right rx8 fan blades. I’d assume the one with more blades was the one that cranked out the 5.1? And it looked like the left one did 3.3?

The 6 bladed fan had a higher cfm than the 5 blade fan, however, I cannot say if having two of the same fans would be any better. But I'd be interested in knowing that too.

So i'm struggling here 2023... I have the part you suggest, however the drivers side fan does not fit the shaft on the passenger side motor (the motor you suggest getting 2 of...).... What's up... Thanks, Hop

Best thing to do is get two electric motors and the 2 fans as well. Aside from the connectors, you'll really only be using the fan shroud... everything else is set aside. Use the forum link below for additional help 😀 www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-specific-1993-2002-16/rx8-fans-rx7-fd-1085155/

i finished this upgrade, wired color to color with the old connectors, my fans don't turn off now lol, any advice?

there are a few things to check: make sure your cabin fan is at 4 (weird I know but try it). Try pressing the AC button, Key on/Engine off/cabin fan at 4. use a multimeter to check if the plug is getting voltage. Check your relays are still good. If in doubt, pull up the wiring diagram and visit rx7club.com Hope that helps

Where the hell did you find this kit for $200? I get 250 for just the motors, and then another 100 in fan blades :D Tho its still an awesome mod ;)

You'll need to hunt online to get the best deal. Ebay and Google are gonna be your best friend. Ray Crowe sells the motors for $68 a piece.
