I think the most respectful word is “Suicide “ not killed himself or herself ?

I would argue if death at 96 caused by Alzheimer's disease can be called unexpected. This also applies to those who passed away due to Parkinson's disease or various kinds of cancer - these conditions don't appear overnight and dont't kill you within a minute like a heart attack. What overwhelms me is the number of "killed himself/herself" or "drug overdose" cases. Show business is definitely not made for those lacking firmness and resilience.

Lots of mental health issues in that group. Killing oneself, alcoholism and drug overdose are almost the same thing. Just two methods are a little slower than the direct approach. And you also half to wonder about the high number of drownings.
