The thing that I love the most about chovy"s gameplay he's so efficient with his moves he doesn't waste anything.

He does get a lot of CS, but what he's really good at is using the pressure he generates from the waves to find opportunities for impactful plays. He's not just a farm bot as he knows when fighting with his team or setting up vision for an objective will be more impactful than a few more CS. Plus, a lot of his big CS numbers come from him being a force in the side lines that no one wants to contest because his 1v1 mechanics are so clean.

Feel like the thing with Sylas for pros is that he can minimize basically every relevant matchup in pro play. Even stuff like Vex is not horrible, probably 55-45 in Vex favour but Sylas still has teamfight value. His real counters are AD bruisers but ain't no pros playing that in midlane

Chovy just understands damage, tower distance, minion aggro, etc. That’s imo the biggest problem with bronze players and low elo. That’s why games that should only take 20 mins end up taking 30+ mins, because people don’t understand the damage their champions can actually do if they hit everything.

@@iliasdinia6475 It's not as much a criticism as he's just pointing out the potential counter play possible for Chovy's common strategies. Chovy plays very constantly every game so exploiting that predictable gameplay is possible at the highest levels of play.

I also think right now chovy is probably the best mid laner, bcs of the consistency he provides, showmaker is my second pick, they are pretty even in mechanics but I think in just laning chovy wins 6 out of 10, as far as team fights maybe showmaker is more coordinated with his teammates. Chovy is a beast on mechanic champions like akali, yone but he prefers smth like viktor who can't take the spotlight. Idk why people don't give him the credit he deserves, the guy is a top tier. Just take a look of the damage dealt in every fight at worlds and you will notice that ruler doesn't carry his ass "1 v 9"

@@nerfminer34 zoe is one of sylas's worst matchups though, very easy for Zoe to harass and if sylas all ins Zoe can easily land bubble and outrade him early on, then at 6 sylas doesn't get an ult advantage or anything. Zoe can also just kill sylas with ignite if he commits to an all in and can't kill but then it's hard for sylas to poke Zoe down.

Prioritizing farm over roaming is a coinflip too. Coin flipping that you're team doesn't feed. Especially in lower elo where feeding gets out of hand. Going 0-0-0 in with good cs in diamond works, doing the same in low elo is not consistent.

That highly depends on your team comp and what champion you play imo. A lot of the time going into the side lane and pressuring objectives like a tower or an inhib will often confuse low elo teams a lot because they just don't know how to deal with that, so they may suddenly stop a fight to begin to recall and because it's soloq it may not just be one recalling, but 2-3 of them, and suddenly you created a huge numbers advantage for your team. If you're big enough, they may even try to send their entire team after you because they can't stop you 1v1. You got entire champions based around that one style of gameplay, usually top laners like Illaoi or Nasus. If your team can't win team fights you being there may not always be enough to turn it around because low elo players also don't know how to properly team fight, they may not know their champion well and they will not know what role their champion is supposed to play in that particular game. It could also be a team comp thing. Maybe you got a non-scaling jungler like Elise, Draven and Pyke bot and Vex mid, vs something like Renekton top, Master Yi jungle, Lux mid, MF and Morgana bot. It's going to be incredibly difficult for your team to team fight fairly front to back vs something like that. In those situations it may even be better to try to force the enemy to team fight as little as possible by split pushing as much as you can, because it enables your team to do what it's best at, which is making isolated picks. You can't control if your team is going to win a team fight in low elo because even if you are omega fed it may not make a difference if the enemy team is also omega fed (just look at Chovy dying at dragon in this game in a 1v3 situation because he was probably limit testing to see if he could do it or not), but you can control what happens in the side lane by putting pressure there.

yeah Chovy played well but that kennen is either a griefer or wintrader. He didn't buy a item lvl 1, spent to much time out of lane doing nothing for some reason and the first trinket ward he used was at 12 minutes

Sylas gets enough mana to use 6 abilities give or take a couple casts. He’s not broken just because his cooldowns are low, his mana cost ratios are some of the highest in game. You beat sylas when you dodge out on a few Qs or E2s and he can no longer cast enough spells to kill you. The reason chovvy and other pro’s make him look so powerful is that they miss 2-3 abilities per back, tops, whereas you and the rest of us miss 5+ and can’t utilize his damage fully except on occasion. In mid to late game when you have the gold for mana, sylas scales into a monster skirmisher, but he has such a deplorably exploitable early game even Viktor or kayle can take enough of a lead to outscale him and have more of an impact with proper dodging mechanics. A classic case of “get good”, you just have to understand how the champion lanes. If you’re opponent is better and lands his skill shots, you probably lose.

Blue team's mid has Chovy. Red team's mid didnt buy items.

Dude it's not physically possible to do everything perfect. If you did everything perfect you would be 40/0 every game and I don't think that's the case. As a top laner, it is quite annoying to climb sometimes but it's always a matter of skill. I'm diamond, but I know that's because I'm not good enough to be higher yet, even though I win lane 90% of the time. Macro and wave control are probably what's holding you back.

@@joshuayong4455 Which 3 champs do you play mostly? Because I play Daruis, Kayle, and Sion mostly. And when I say "perfectly" I don't mean LITERALLY perfect. I mean I play the lane as perfectly as I can, in what ever situation I may be in. And you know, if you main top lane, that a fed ADC will ruin your day, if you have no way of getting on to them. That is why top lane champs with dashes, and or hard CC tend to be picked more, for climbing, than champs that dont.

I don't know what elo you are, but I feel that for me wave control is so important, and the main thing that held me back from climbing. Most players below Masters will get impatient if you deny them lots of CS and you can start snowballing usually. That's how I'd play with darius, but idk for kayle and sion.

I play tanks mostly, Sion the most. And unfortunately Bork is an item in this game. Sunder bork just fucks me. So any lead I might get, I just lose after people start getting anti-tank.
