I've got to make a comment about all this streaming lark. I'll start with where I currently am: I worked for a Linn dealer nearly thirty years ago. I love the systems, components, etc. Due to a recent invitation, I now work as an installer for my old employer on the occasional system. This is not a sexist post. I know plenty of blokes that just want "it to work" My ex-wife loves the sound of the old system. She knows exactly how to select a record, plop it on the LP12, dust it off and enjoy. Then she can put it all away again. Although I'm perfectly happy with the streaming lark, it needs to be much, much simpler for your average person that understands: record: play it: finish with it: play something else. In my experience, too much choice is no choice at all.

Thank you for watching. Modern audio systems certainly have the potential to be more complex than systems in the 1990s - but they also do a great deal more. Ensuring that a system is usable by all the family is always a challenge. I think Linn have a great solution to this issue on Next Generation Klimax DSM, Selekt DSM and Majik DSM. All Linn DSM feature a physical volume control plus programmable buttons on the front that can be programmed so it 'just works': For example you could program the buttons as follows: Button 1 LP12, Button 2 BBC Radio 6, Button 3 Tidal Playlist, ... Button 6 TV HDMI. These physical presets are also accessible on the IR remote and in the App. The key is to have the system properly setup in the first place and that you are shown how to control and use the system (by an authorised Linn dealer like ripcaster). Very interesting video. As a long term Linn user ( 35 year old Lk1; LK280, Lp12) I find all the new Linn systems a bit confusing, but when I can afford it i will be in to see you.
