You certainly get what you pay for! I do appreciate the quick comparison, but I still am convinced that when it comes to gloves, Adidas won't be my go to brand (not on top 5 or even top 10 list)! However, their cleats and padded pants are spot on just saying!

@@grappleronyt4662 That's laughable. Take instruments. If you play on the cheapest guitar you can find it's going to have high action, sharp frets, go out of tune easily and be uncomfortable. And that's without considering the difference in sound which really helps with motivation

@@toxillo Yeah but this isn't about instruments. You could be the striker with cheaper cleats. Rather than wearing expensive ones. I do think the expensive ones help but not much. (Not cheap cleats that are like offbrand) but branded but cheaper verision like academy vs pro or elite

@@grappleronyt4662 Well I said "good equipment" which applies to any activity. But even for football, I recently got myself a really good pair of boots and it does make a substantial difference. They are tighter, making it easier to control the ball. I'm also not sliding around when doing sharp turns or accelerations. They don't have laces which get in the way or open up. And again, the motivational benefit is huge

It seemed smoother with the cheaper pair. In my opinion. He struggled more with the expensive ones

@@spacecowboy7568if you ever try and wear a cheap 20 dollar glove and face hard shots ur hands Will hurt, sprained my wrist because of them for 2 months, however even a 100 dollar glove will have durability longer than 1 and a half week and have good grip and comfort

As someone who was a goalkeeper back in my playing days. £150 or $ is crazy money and they probably wouldnt even last half a season.

As a young keeper myself I prefer decent cheep gloves so I can have like 3-4 pairs for the season so they are always in great condition

I bought that $20 pair for this season and for a freshmen high school match it’s alright but comparing them to other gloves they’re absolutely horrible. I’m definitely in need of an upgrade this year.

Insane….I never used gloves when I was goalkeeping training. Then when I would Play i had cheap Gloves and I was like Superman. Todays tech and material is sick! Keep up the work!

cheap gloves wear really quick. me and my freind used to take turn in goals and the gloves wore out after about a week of playing it was quite bad. gloves around $60 last forever tho cause my dad has some and they haven’t really worn for years

Honestly Adidas is the iPhone in the gloves world. Does the job but no reason to spend that much money because you can find cheaper alternatives with better quality. What you get is just the brand name

The $20 ones are training gloves. If you look closely, you can see the text on the packet. Notice how he never mentioned the grip? I felt them before, they have more grip then the pros. 😒🙄 Edit: He was correct about the thumb though. It was also massive compared to the other fingers.

Much prefer smaller or local brands compared to the big names. Grip often just as good. Example, look up Kaalier gloves, Luca goalkeeping gloves etc. Costs £30-£50 a pair and they're (IMO) just as good if not better than Adidas, Nike, Reusch etc.

For good reason! Local brands are the definite best bang for your buck especially if you know where to look, but local brands will end up just as expensive as other top brands when you have to ship internationally 🧤

You have to be confident that’s all don’t be scared of the ball when it’s close to to you just think that you need to save that ball so your team can win think that you’re the best because being a goalkeeper is the most important position in a soccer game
