FOMO is atrocious in this game. I've been playing on/off since D1 over the years. I've stopped grinding for all the "Get this now!" things and only go for what looks interesting to me. Just play the game at your leisure because it really is not worth spending all your precious time on (that's their whole goal).

You could just not care and see what you get. I think people get too wrapped up in need x,y, or z item or rolls. If you get a good roll you enjoy using, there’s plenty of content it will destroy in. Abilities are so strong you’re better off watching tutorial type build videos as add clear with abilities has never been easier. The guns are an added layer of skill to supplement the build. I honestly spent the last year or so letting my guns go to postmaster and not caring as I was a mainly PvP player. The build synergies for pve are super fun too tho, so once you have a build idea, just figure out what gun you want to compliment it. I’ve done an insane amount of different builds and there’s a lot that’s viable. Late game, you do need to really know the ins and outs, but again play what you feel comfortable with

Bruh I got over 1k hours ingame and am the same. Just play to have fun, your never gonna get to experience everything in this game unless you truly only live to play destiny 2 12 hours a day. Not worth it lol.

PSA: please don’t craft subjunctive with subsistence, it makes the gun worse when paired with voltshot as voltshot requires a reload, but subsistence is trying to make you reload less. Instead craft it with threat detector as that will decrease the time it takes to reload when enemies are nearby (which they will be if you are using an smg)

@DirtyCubanMIA Well, if it helps, bungie has implemented a lot of quality of life changes over the past few months with more to come in the Final Shape. More importantly, Bungie is also "un-sunstetting" all items from the past. If you have a vault full of sunset gear that you love, you'll be able to use it all again when the final shape launches.

I just can't wait for Destiny 2 the movie, that way I can just watch the complete story without all the grind/fomo, since I'm sure there is lots I missed over my several breaks I've taken over the years and after season of the deep. The removal of stuff is starting to get a little insane. When they removed resources there was basically no reason to head to patrol sectors anymore

They really should add more rewards to the destinations and to public events overall

For scatter signal, you do not want slice, always go overflow + controlled burst. You also DO NOT AT ALL want subsistence + volshot. Sub works against voltshots need to reload. Go with threat detector.

Stats for all is my personal favorite on subjunctive, voltshot combos really well with it due to the very fast reload, and the jolt triggers stats for all easily

Prodigal Returns, from season of defiance is probably the best thing in that season. Disorientating grenades + voltshot is a very weird combo, however, when arc is on the artifact, it synergizes surprisingly well. Things either die or they are blinded and stand there doing nothing and drooling on themselves. But when arc isn't on the artifact, I find myself using other blind gl's with auto-loading and just use them to blind and swap to other weapon for damage.

I went with disorienting danger zone. Also disorienting with disruption break is good. Autoload ofc. Empty Vessel for example.

Some really weird takes here. Season of the deep was not all bad weapons, until its return is a fantastic shotgun and is very much worth getting the patern for. Subsistence makes no sense on subjunctive since you'll want to reload a lot, use stats for all instead. Overflow is a much better option than slice on scatter signal

True, I would even say don't go Voltshot on Subjunctive except if you're playing stricly solo cause Nano-munitions, which is a really good origin trait, doesn't even proc if you're constantly reloading. I use Subsistence + Golden Tricorn and you got bullet for days and high DPS.

I feel you. I’ve played on/off since D1 launch and I’ve only done Kings Fall, VoG, and a few dungeons. Raids are super frustrating and it’s unfortunate because they drop the best loot.

Great vid but the only thing I would add is when you was talking about the exotic armor & weapons quests you should get to the final step then get rid of them. When final shape drops turn in bounties then turn in quests. Quests are xp++

Great video Shadow! I would also like to add something about the special delivery kiosk beside the gunsmith. Make sure you have your Amazon Prime account and twitch account linked to your Bungie account on their app or website. You have to allow for permission. Then you go to twitch and find the rewards or loot page and go to Destiny 2. There should be an option to claim rewards and these get sent to the kiosk in the tower. You may get other rewards besides these but I'm not sure. Hope this helps!

Re: Subjunctive - Subsistence actively works against voltshot, giving you ammo back when you want to be reloading frequently to trigger the jolts. Go for Stats for All or Threat Detector instead.

Shadow 2?! Definitely Shadow 1 content right here. Thank you for the guide! Personally I am trying to run the dungeons and exotic quests with our current sandbox. The seasonal content campaigns were pretty good this year, for casual play. (Better than the weekly lightfall missions, imo)

i would suggest stats for all or threat detector on subjuntive to pair with voltshot over subsistence since you have to reload to proc voltshot. Although I havent tried subsistence it seems like it would work against you.

So excited for pantheon. I just want atraks and rhulks emblems. I mean I plan on getting them all but those 2 are gorgeous. Also I didn't think/know about the phantasmal fragment glimmer thing. I appreciate the info. Oh also for subjunctive I would not recommend subsistence with voltshot. Threat detector or stats for all would be the way to go.

New player, and this was handy because you showed where i go for certain item's..im still abit confused on some stuff but thats the learning curve. I mostly find out things by trial and error to, but if im really dumbfounded then youtube and channels like yours really help. At moment on level 4 nearly on level 5 just need to do a couple more rounds of the lightfall vanguard mission with those three pillers i can never jump lol, thankfully no player has been annoyed with me plunging back to my unlived self. I think they know how hard the jumping mechanics are for new players so are patient. I do need a good clan though with friendly players, im 53 so some older players would be cool but not nessecery, i get on with everyone..or try.

Get the "until its return" shotgun crafted. Its SO GOOD

This guide was amazing, helpful, and to the point. Along with my private mod menu, will help me to get to level cap even quicker and get all the exotics even faster

2 very useful things to prep for: make sure you have as much exotic engrams in your vault and or/postmaster by doing the ritual playlists and resetting the vendors on all 3 chars and do the exotic cypher quest from xur until you have 5. In the final shape you can only get the new exotics from rahool with a buff called ‘engram insider’, which you can only get by decrypting or focussing (exotic) engrams.

It's really good overall (I sent the link to my group). Just some feedback for the new season xp boost: make sure you have blinding light lv6 on your ghost and fireteam up with someone on lv 5 before popping those bounties.

I’ve been barely playing this year of light fall but I’m knuckling down and doing at least the stuff that’s going away when final shape drops. I just got my wicked implements/catalyst today. Gonna work on wish season stuff next.

Another amazing Last Wish weapon is the bow, not a boss damage option, but it IS amazing for damn near everything else, Incandescent & Dragonfly is an amazing combo, basically legendary Sunshot.

Highly recommend royal executioner from season of the defiance. It can run with envious assassin and reservoir burst which is godly put together. Reservoir burst when the magazine is at capacity (7/7) it does 25% more damage and enemies explode on death. Envious assassin give the gun up to 17-ish shots in the magazine which means 10 of those shots will have reservoir burst active. Truly an under rated gun.

13:20 The taken sniper from Season of the Deep is actually incredibly good. 35 zoom, craftable, with double accuracy perks. If you like rapid fire frames, I highly recommend it.

Thanks for the video. Would have been nice if you'd explained that the Lectern of Enchantment is only available if you've completed the Shadowkeep expansion. I haven't (and now don't have time) to complete Shadowkeep. I spent a while dismantling some stuff in my vault to get extra shards so I could use them to buy Phantasmal Fragments at the Lectern. Then I spent ages trying to work out why I couldn't engage with the lectern. I ended up wasting a lot of equipment I didn't need to dismantle (for a resource that I couldn't use) and a lot of time searching online how to get the Lectern to work.

I really wish I knew more about the God roles before I went and deleted my shiny sword

Another viable option is the aggressive linear frame from duality. Before I get hate on it. Its still usefull, in some way. May not be the best but its a good fall back option.

The amount of stuff to do in this game as a solo player feels so overwhelming especially for how much time and grind everything takes.

I’ll be honest I picked up an appetence, with out a good roll and I fell in love currently grinding for the crafted version

At the Exotic Armor Quest section at 14:02 , you forgot to mention this hidden quest that randomly popped up in your inventory when Into The Light dropped. I forgot what the name for the quest was called but you had to get like kills with abilities and super. For Titans you got Wormgod Caress and for Hunters and Warlock I haven’t checked yet. Just wanted to throw it out so people don’t miss this

You are a complete and utter godsend!

Remember to unlock all exotic armors to open up your options. I know I am lazy too and miss a few legend lost sector exotics lol. Remember to grind them so you get more options. Having too many Vanguard emblems? For those who have enough blinding nade launchers, spend them on Wild Style. If you still lack ALH + blinding nade rolls, spend them on Empty Vessel. Remember as long you reset Vanguard at least once, they can spawn double or sometimes even triple perks per column. 99 Vanguard emblems can roll 33 GL and each only cost 5K. For a mere 10 legendary shards, you get 10K glimmer back. So spend away.

I’ve played since before Forsaken came out but took a break after DSC, most of my friends said lightfall was kinda ass so I didn’t bother. It’s currently 80% off on Steam for the dlc and annual pass if you need a reason to get back into D2.

I don’t know if this is still how it works but back in the day, it was smart to grab 7 vendor bounties and complete an 8th after the expansion drops to get the powerful reward. If you do 8 bounties from the previous expansion it would drop at the previous expansion power cap

With vendors like Shax, Zavala, and Drifter, you want to only get 7 of the bounties ready. If you pop 8 from the previous season, you could end up with a necessary powerful drop not being at a higher level. But if you have 7 and then get the 8th at the start of the next season, completing it will give you the powerful drop at the vendor.

If i were you (as i took a 1-2 hiatus also) just focus on prepping for next season. Dont worry anout the gear, just prep bounties and currencies. If you are casual and don’t need to optimize for the highest end content, you will get plenty of good weapons wirh the Final Shape.

I mean, the Power floor is getting raised to 1900 at the launch of Final Shape, if I'm not mistaken. So the power boost from Gift of the Thunder Gods is only relevant for right now. Granted it is still necessary tonotger things in the right now, but it's not like 1810 power is going to be an advantage after launch
