Liked and subscribed. What a lovely and peaceful woman you are. This channel seems like the perfect tonic for when I want to simply watch something. I need more peaceful people like you in my life! Blessings from England.

When you said you loved to declutter I thought, that is just the opposite of me, lol. I love to thrift shop new things to bring home and rearrange my house. I have learned though that I need to move out other things that I just don't love anymore. I think a better mind set is to stop purchasing items when you still have products to use up. So Many people buy more cleaning products, soaps, hair products, makeup and then don't finish what they had, it's so wasteful. We need a less wasteful mindset of just tossing things and buying what we don't love in the first place. FYI we never even had expiration dates on food before, many things don't even have a expiration date, they have a best buy date that is a lie, because they want people to buy more. Commercially canned items last a very long time, they never go bad, they just lose some of there optimal nutrition. We need to question more about what corporations that are in the business of selling, are trying to make us believe. A great example of this is trends, in food, clothes, home decor.

Many food items never expire. The date is a marketing tool so you will buy more. Meat -yes. Canned items, almost never unless damaged.

Interesting video, but in regards to food, dry and unopened goods like pasta can still be consumed safely after de expiration date.

Dear Connie. Love all your videos, every one makes me feel calm. Have been declutttering, something every day, have an awful lot of stuff, but it is changing my life. Still don't understand how I have kept so much clutter, but I'm letting go now. I'm off to go through paperwork now. X

My biggest helpful tip for letting go of things is to question their safety. I consult the "lead safe mamma" blog to see if any dishes, ceramic wear, kitchen tools etc may have high levels of lead, arsenic, cadmium. If so, they go in a box to be taken to the monthly toxics roundup in my community.

I have helped family & friends declutter, I am really good at it. Everything goes smoothly until we hit the pantry. I say anything that expired goes & almost everyone says it’s still good…drives me nuts! I always enjoy your videos, Connie. Thank you!

I love your channel. I enjoy decluttering videos but I do have to say that this one felt kind of odd because you are decluttering someone else's space without them being present. I could see getting rid of expired food/spice items without your daughter but the rest appears invasive without her participation.
