    I see you simply made some stamps. Heh. As always, I am so very impressed with your abilities. I did look at your Bio. I can see you have the 10,000 hours it takes to become a true expert. I think that has something to do with the fact that I can try and try again and still not get the nearly the same results. I'm good though. I am enjoying trying even though I am pretty sure I don't have 10,000 left to fly and model clay to expert level. So happy you are willing to share so much. Thank you.

    No need for expensive purchased stamps when you can create stamps such as these ! Having seen how to make a stamp which produces a cobbled surface, I was able to put a floor in the model of a building I made for pottery class. :-) No shortage of inspiration here, Ann !

Sarah Pike does some connected pattern stamps you should check out for fun. One week of school left then I have the summer to create fun things I want to make rather than assignments for class. Yay! Thanks again!!

    Are the stamps just bisque fired or do you fire up to glaze temps on them (albeit without any glaze)?

  • @annruel1982

    @annruel1982

    Жыл бұрын

    Hi David. I just bisque fire them. Actually I can test them when they are bone dry in the greenware stage although they are still fragile so bisque firing them seems to do the trick....and you are right, no glaze. 🙂

    How do you stabilize the round rollers for firing?

  • @annruel1982

    @annruel1982

    Жыл бұрын

    Hey Jhennicea, Since there is no glaze on the pieces, you can turn the round rollers to whatever side the roller is the most stable. Since my rollers are never perfectly round, I always seem to have a flat spot somewhere, 🙂
