High thread count is softer...what do you wear if your allergic to camel hair or wool and need to dress nice...try a high thread count suit or silk...it limits your choices...low count is still good like I love just a tee shit with no tags on it or sweat pants...high count linen feels like that but can look really nice it is not just bed but mens dress shirts I have seen 200 thread count....I suppose if you go out or are a professional it might be awesome....I just noticed it has a worn in softer feel...I have a sweat shirt that is falling apart but it is so comfy....

@@kimzastrow1268 thread count really doesn't mean anything if its over 400. Over 400 means they probably did double ply or triple ply which doesn't make for comfort

You should never pay $75 for a pair of 300 thread count sheet set at most, $40 and as far as the 480 thread count the most you should pay is around $60.

January Jones I know! Price usually depend on thread count and the material that it’s made of, as well as where it was made (China will be cheaper than Italy for example). They totally ignored the other important things to keep in consideration when getting sheets.

I’ve been using high thread count sheets forever and I’ve never really spent that much on them. The good old sheets my mom always let us use as kids were just scratchy and they got pills in them from being washed so many times over the years, and when I bought my own sheets it was a revelation

only possible number with single ply ( thread) is between 400-500 thread count ... to make sheets of more than 500 thread count you need twist 2 threads or 3 threads and claim your thread count increased by 2 times or 3 times ... in short anything more than a 500 thread count is just a marketing gimmick .... there are many other thing to consider other than thread count like percentage of cotton , grade of cotton , the type of fiber used , the type of weave used , the fineness of the thread , different treatments etc ... how do i know... i make bedsheets ;)

It's not a big investment. You spend so much time in bed every day, arguably more than you spend on your phone. Also, sleep is so important that spending a bit more to get better sleep is worth the little bit more in price. Grant it I'm biased, my sheet are 250$, but I've had them for 3 years now.

Once you try 100% cotton in a high thread count you understand how important having a breathable fabric can be.. microfiber made my kids sweat all the time even in the winter, and it wasn't until I tried microfiber on my own bed that I felt this. Never going back!

Thread count isn't what you think it is. Used to be counted one way of triple thread. They're supposed to be CRISP. Now they count them any way they want to. Divide that 480 by 2 (for both ways) and then by 3 (for single thread) Sears 20 count (equivalent of 1200 count both ways) used to last for 20 years. They were amazing.

  • @tiansanchez4180

450 thread count is still low quality - this is a terribly thinly veiled advertisement for Goodful's sheets. You can spend $75 at Target to get much higher quality sheets for a higher thread count than the supposed "luxury" sheets in this video.

I came to this video because I want to know if the tread count is worth it but, one of the ladies said that's the bedding she buys but people need to know that Amazon' Choice, DOES NOT mean they are the best AND DOES NOT MEAN THE MOST POPULAR, amazon's choice is what makes them the most profit. So if you're in the market for sheets from amazon like I am, don't just pick the one that says that.
