20 seconds from every Godzilla movie
Фильм және анимация
With a career spanning 70 years, almost 40 movies under his name, a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records, a Lifetime Achievement Award, a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and now an Academy Award, it's no wonder the character we know of as Gojira, also known as Godzilla, is considered the most famous movie monster in the whole world.

When you round 13 to the nearest 5 or 0, what do you get? 😉👌
Well that was fun to watch! I like some of the transition edits you did leaving one film and easing into the next while also at times you had jump edits from one film to the next. It kept the compilation interesting by making it unpredictable. I was happy to see the burning solder from The Return Of Godzilla come across the screen. Lol! Great tribute video! 👏🏻

Thanks, Conal! Lol Yeah, I felt the burning soldier shot would give a poignant example of Godzilla lore to those who are mostly unfamiliar with the franchise and the extent of its content. The whole prologue was a last-second idea I thought of to give a proper introduction to the audience, letting them know that this compilation was meant to celebrate the king’s 70th year. The opening audio from Gojira (1954) sounded perfect in my head, and it became very fun to edit various clips from different entries into the video and match the respective shots with Godzilla’s roar. The jump cuts were used because the dissolve effects would’ve left little breathing room for the last shots I included. I’m glad they left an impression on you 😌. I wanted to include shots of Godzilla walking and synchronize the clip with the background stomps, but I was worried the clips would distract viewers from the onscreen texts.

@@tyrantgregcagkaiju71 Well it came out great. I appreciate the time and thought you had put into it. I have to mention, you also picked the exact scene I was hoping for from Godzilla ‘98 and it was good to see the anime trilogy get some love. 🤘🏻

@@conalcochran156 Thanks again, man! I really appreciate that. Yeah, I wanted to pick at least ONE cool scene from the movie many have otherwise called a huge let down, and this was the best I could find that could easily be bunched into 20 seconds. The anime trilogy proved tricky in finding decent clips, but since it was a part of the franchise, I had to find SOMETHING that would work, especially clips that could entice viewers, old and new to the trilogy, to give it a shot.
Long live the king of monsters
