Welcome back to Next-Gen Console Watch, our show following everything happening with the latest gaming hardware. With the Xbox Showcase coming up in a couple weeks and a PlayStation State of Play likely happening, it's time for some predictions on what reveals and announcements we expect (and hope) to see.

I'm PC-only at this point, so I'm extremely hyped for the Xbox Showcase. Avowed, a "360-era RPG" (please be Lost Odyssey!), ARA, Towerborne, Indiana Jones, Gears 6 (or a Gears collection), Perfect Dark/Fable updates, Clockwork Revolution, etc. There's also the dozens of games likely to be announced for Game Pass, as well as updates for previously announced GP titles like Silksong. Oh, and the off chance that more Atlus announcements show up, since they seem to be partnering with Xbox quite a bit lately.
hopefully we get Gears 6 soon!!!! so excited for that game

Hell blade 2 set the challenge, now The Coalition needs to knock it out the park! Can you imagine Gears 6 looks like or even better than HB2. Great time to be Gamers

i'm an Xbox fan but i've been waiting for Ghost of Tsushima 2 for 4 years. It could be cool to have it on state of play P.S. and of course Oblivion remake

@@wogardrodriguez2671 Public knowledge. Capcom put up a video on their KZread channel about their development and the issues the new engine will solve for. News articles written as well
I'll reiterate this: Microsoft and especially PlayStation need to come with the best showcases in years - this generation has been incredibly mid for gaming. At least Microsoft has a handful of games that we know about supposedly coming later this year. PlayStation, on the other hand, has yet to announce anything games, with a superfluous PS5 Pro on the way.

Yeah all the COVID stuff throwing off time lines literally two years has made this arguably the worst generation ever.. There were leaks of games plans before COVID and everything ended up being correct except all the games were two years delayed as a result.

Yes but think about it for one second. Playstation never dissapointed in the last almost 30 years. Xbox Dissapoints 10 years in a row. Hellblade is the first decent game after over 10 years

I'm pretty sure that the PlayStation showcase is going to the same as the Xbox Showcase since almost all of the games shown there will also be coming to PlayStation. It should probably be renamed to "Games Showcase: Hosted By Xbox" instead. No?
