I see so many people complain about strips but I used to put Rb on my elite paddle and hold it every time I got tackled

I'm new at playing madden. It's safe to say your tips have helped me understand a little bit more that side of the ball.

Great tip on the scissor coverage adjustment, never thought about that but I have definitely been fooled by that several times by other comp players

The biggest tip is some games you will automatically start off with a loss and you have to play super glitchy or you will loose 100%. Most games are decided before they start

How do you get the different kick options on an on-side kick? I don't have them

im surprised by the strip one ive always had better luck forcing fumbles using the hit stick tackle rather than trying to strip the ball out regularly. For whatever reason for me any time i press the button to go for the strip it goes for it and rarely if ever is successful lol

Works in any mode, just go to your game settings and you can turn on free form passing (as long as you're on next gen)

@@nfamusRyno Yep, all game modes. Just press Y/Triangle and it'll pull up the coverage adjustments menu. And again, it'll only look the way it does in the video if you're on next gen. Get lots of confused people in the comments because they're looking for next gen features on their old gen version of the game lol

@@SpruceGooseTV I'm on ps5, so no worries there. So it seems like since it's in game, we need to remember to readjust each game? I only bought M24 2 weeks ago or so. I tried the free-form passing but it felt glitchy..probably something I'll have to practice before I start to use it..plus it takes away low passes since it's L2. Sometimes against good mid coverage that's the only way to complete until I get my team built up better. Look forward to more tips, my guy!

@@nfamusRyno I strongly recommend free form passing. Like it shows in the video, free form is the only way to throw to WRs in man coverage in some cases. You're right that it takes away low balls, but EA kind of nerfed those anyway since they have a chance of randomly being inaccurate now. It can take a little while to get used to, but once you get comfortable with it I don't think you'll look back.

Anything for shedding blocks playing LB rushing the passer? This last update made it near impossible

Using streak your receiver will most likely be inside, fade almost certainly ensures that he’ll be outside

Free form passing only works on the "Placement & Accuracy" or "Placement & Power" settings, but I recommend everyone uses it because it's extremely powerful once you get the hang of it!

I'm on old gen PS4, how do you run faster with your QB behind the line. My opponents can run backwards at full speed to avoid the rush

You need to navigate to "By Formation" in the play call menu. Depending on if you're on the old gen or next gen version of the game, you may need to back out of the coach suggestions menu (B or Circle) or scroll left/right to "By Formation" by pressing Lb/Rb or L1/R1.

Double tap triangle on playstion allows you to open up DB adjustments and then do what you have to from there

It's in the pre-snap coverage menu. Change the safety's coverage assignment to man coverage on the WR. Change the CB coverage assignment to man coverage on the RB.

They just do different things. Free forming will pass lead the ball further, while a high ball will put the ball above the receiver's head.

@@kashshhds8824 Yes, next gen. It's not a guaranteed recovery, it just gives the best odds for a recovery. If you aren't getting a bounce like in the video, make sure you're doing all the steps correctly.

Spruce would you say this years madden is better than last years? Last year with the automatic WR jump balls, blown coverages and etc… I was just always losing to guys who didn’t even deserve to even be on the field with me. And it’s not like I’m terrible at Madden, id say I’m pretty good, in Madden 21 Nxt Gen for Xbox I made it to top 7 with a 1300-300 record with more than half the losses coming from disconnects due to my terrible WiFi at the time, and then in 23 I was .500. So basically does your actual football IQ as well as madden IQ mean more this year than last year cuz at least for me regs was a shit show.

I think this year's game is an improvement over last year, although there are lots of issues with the game this year too. As for actual football IQ vs Madden IQ, I think Madden always has been about understanding the game more than understanding football. People want it to be a "simulation football" experience, but the reality is that when 10 of your 11 players are AI, there will always be exploits and metas. The reason we see the same pro players winning tournaments every year (such as Henry and Dez) is because they are the best at learning the GAME each year, not because they have the most "actual football knowledge". So I really do think that every year, Madden IQ is the single biggest factor that creates skill gap between players. So if you feel like you're struggling in a particular Madden, it's probably because there's a gap in your Madden knowledge or strategy that's holding you back from beating inferior players. I don't know if that answers your question, but I hope that helps!

@@scott--1629 well they didn’t, I’ve played 2,000 games, I have better football knowledge then most, and I’ve went on multiple 50 streaks in 21 so I know what good players look like. I mean bruh I know you’ve had moments where you do everything right and they get rewarded for being garbage. I would put my guys in a position to make the play then my opponent makes a monumental mistake doing exactly what I prepared for and then EA bends me over like I’m Riley Reid, does the guy deserve to be on my field?

Placement will work pretty much exactly the same as Placement & Accuracy. In theory, on Placement & Accuracy when you throw the ball there will be a tiny green region on your power meter, and if you stop the meter in that region then you're guaranteed to have perfect accuracy. The issue in this game is that you can have "perfect accuracy" throws that still miss, making it pretty pointless. I've moved to just Placement and feel like I have less overthrows, but I don't have hard data to support that.

Strafe is nice but in game modes like Superstar KO where ppl play 2v2 3v3. Its useless. Stops your player from running about 90%

#17, its called a touch pass or a lob, a high touch or high lob if the defender is beat but close enough to put a hand in the way. Free form is also important but leading with the PROPER TRAJECTORY TYPE AND HEIGHT FOR THE SCENARIO INSTEAD OF A FUCKING BULLET EVERY PASS... Might make yall better passers... just saying...

Here’s the best tip: don’t waste your money on any EA product. Been playing madden ultimate team for months now, upgrade to the supposedly “next gen” console that somehow doesn’t transfer your EA account data from your old gen console to the new gen… even though madden 23 was able to do it just fine… Not many billion dollar companies that get less advanced over the years… but EA is #1 in that category

Madden is Not Difficult… it’s just a matter of adjusting to the game play.. Knowing ur player’s abilities.. putting them in position to succeed and understanding ur opponent…. Most players run the same successful plays… once u figure out how they think!!! It’s O.V🤷🏾‍♂️ just my opinion
