You put in sealed 5 gal buckets and bury them away from your house where you can get back to it later... That's if you get run out... just don't get run out... gold and silver brass and lead

@@tystone48I hear you but unfortunately some of us live in places where the water table is so high you dig down 6 inches and you hit water. It's a real challenge. 😉

A lot of good info, but... as a former long time ham radio op I disagree about the use of Ham radio for newcommers in an emergency as the old school radio ops are not forgiving to unlicensed/novice-licensed ops. Not a no-go but something to think about. Being able to communicate with other non-hams by radio may IMHO be more valuable. Just my 2 cents

Do not forget "Title" documents in addition to the "Deed" for your property because the Deed is only half of the proof of ownership. Protecting your documents with a waterproof/fireproof safe is all fine and dandy, but you must include a dessicant to keep moisture/mould/mildew from destroying them in that non-breatheable container especially if condensation could form internally due to temperature fluctuations.
