Our concept of technology and technological development hinges on the idea that once upon a time all man had was rudimentary tools and, with each passing decade, we inch closer and closer toward the very singularity that will wipe us off the Earth because it will make Sam Altman rich in the short time, so why not annihilate human existence in the long term? But the development of tech is quite as simple as that. Some pretty extraordinary things were created long before you thought they were. And some of that tech was so advanced, we’re still struggling to wrap our heads around it now.
