I’ve had this saved and try to play through it about 2-3 times a week (along with the video on beginner drum beats…). This has been so helpful in building confidence and basic skills on the set! Over the past few months I’ve been able to move about half of these from the 70bpm to the 125bpm version. (Honestly I had to start some of the 70’s on 1/2 time at the start, ha). I’m not looking to become a drummer, just wanted to learn some basics and have some fun on the kit. This video has been fantastic for doing it-thank you Gabe!!

About 6 days into learning to drum practicing about 2 hours a day, got your 3 beginner beats video down pat at about 90bmp and now I'm adding these fills into those beats as I do transitions. Only 4:30 into this video over 3 days but DAMN are you a great teacher. Never thought it would come so naturally.

filling is incorrect... keep time and do your job. if you want to flail randomly around the kit like a jackass go play lead guitar. you have one purpose, kick and snare on time.

Some nice fills there. Over the years some had fallen out of ones repertoire. Thanks for the reminder.
