I recall Leno talking about his Y2K saying that when you got up to a really high speed on the highway, you really needed to remember that the bike doesn't just kill power when you let off the throttle and takes a long time to slow down so you really needed to pay attention to the distance before you wanted to exit the highway otherwise you'd just blow by it.

I used to own an extended cab Datsun pickup on a Chevy s-10 frame with a 500 Cadillac motor. It was a sweet truck and was my favorite color blue with white stripes. Perfect body. New paint no rust or dents. The seats had to be moved back to get the motor in and the firewall had to be cut and moved. Yeah, it could haul ***. One time I took it out for a spin to show my dad and when I opened it up, I hit a bird and it splattered the top of the windshield. I just kept going.

Unfortunately the shockwave crashed at Battle Creek's field of flight and Chris perished in the mishap.

I traded in a 379 for one of those 387's and wow talk about comfort. I had a semi regular run from Buffalo, NY up into Medford Oregon. In the 379 I could reach over and lock or unlock the passenger door. Not in the 387. I had 600 hp and an 18 speed loved it. Not as cool looking as the 379. I traded comfort over cool, and I'm glad I was smart enough.

This is what I‘d love to see applied in Nathalie, the genius prototypical car concept of Roland Gumpert.

That’s what I was thinking. A radial engine consists of pistons in a radial configuration. It is most assuredly NOT a jet engine.

Sure was hoping I would not have to dig very deep into the comments before coming across that. I was only about halfway listening when I thought I heard him say something about a jet engine when I KNEW I heard him say radial just prior. Clicked tab and backed it up a little then immediately started looking for the first comment about it. 😂

Radial motor jet engine is not true jet engine, since it runs with pistons. Just wanted to point that out... It's more like hell of a compressor with fuel ifnjection, wich is crazy inefficient way to produce thrust.

He said that number 5 is chain driven. I don't know if I'm alone but that sounds extremely dangerous. Especially with a lot of power, high speed, and your head being completely exposed and unprotected. Very dangerous if it snapped or came derailed off the drive sprockets. Not something I would want as a daily driver. Lol

Most of these click bait videos don't even have close to accurate video footage to accompany the audio. Like WW2 Nazis in a WW1 clip, or the inside of a LA class sub when talking about the Gato. Just crank em out! What I hate are some of the totally inaccurate titles... "Elon Musk Creates Perpetual Motion and Free Energy!!!"

fastest I ever got was 125-130 mph in my 81 trans am w/ t tops I got for my 18th bday. it was an eventful day as it was the fastest I had ever driven, it was the most expensive speeding ticket I had ever received and the first time I was incarcerated for speeding which at the time I didn't know was even possible. I got clocked at 115 in a 55 mph zone. it's wasn't as bad as it sounds. it was early in the morning at like 230am so no one was on the road. it was on the arizona beeline highway in the desert so there were no houses or neighborhoods. just me racing my friend back from payson and the cactus/desert landscape . it would have been even higher but I was walking away from my friend and actually had started slowing down so he could catch up. FYI tickets at that speed start acting like compound interest. ticket cost + $3 dollars per mile over till you hit 10 miles over then it's an excessive fine and now $5 per mile over till you hit another 10 then its a criminal excessive fine + $10 dollars per mile till you hit another criminal excessive fine and then $15 per mile over and so on!!! ouch. it was a miracle my parents let me keep the car. damn I wish I still had that thing.

Rather than seeing how fast I can go on a motorcycle: I prefer enjoying the ride on a finicky old ancient rat bike that needs constant maintenance and I can work on it. Backroads only. Story-building. Rather than wondering how fast I can go in a boat: I'd rather drift carelessly around on an un-named lake somewhere way up north in the night in a canoe listening to the loons and looking at stars. Both - WAY more rewarding.

Just so ya know, that jet powered Peterbilt is not a "semi". A semi is a trailer. Semi-trailer cuz it only has wheels at one end as opposed to a full trailer with an axle in front and one in back.
