Weirdly he was considered the weakest link for the longest time but in comparison to the back up full backs we've had, hes not the worst. Also Ryan Betrand Academy graduates first game , and playing well and handling the pressure.

This is the most memorable night. all those passion, after 2007-2008 loss, and 2008-2009 cheated by Barcelona. They really deserve to win this.

I feel like the line-up was 50% veterans (Lampard, Drogba, Cech, Cole, etc.) and then just some random assortment of dudes who were either rotational players, subs or newcomers. But at the end of the penalty shootout, all of them and the entire team on and off the bench, were heroes.

Still get goosebumps, still remember that night, was a young man, cried from a happiness, no one believe in chelsea that night, but only true fans believed, I was in shock for a week, couldn't believe in my eyes, I'm really happy that we are the first fans who saw the first champions league trophy in the history of our beloved team Chelsea.

For me, the most best penalty shootout I've ever watched. Everything about it is incredible. Neuer taking the penalty, David Luiz's run up, Schweinsteiger's agonizing miss, and Drogba's farewell (the return in 2014 sorta ruined it though) . Just incredible.

I still don't understand wether Schweinsteiger missed or if Cech saved it. Think Cech had fingertips to it. Gotta say thoough, that as special as last night's win was, it was nothing compared to 2012. We reedemed and avenged the 2008 and 2009 losses, stared defeat in the face so many times (3-1 vs Napoli, 2-0 vs Barca, Messis penalty, Mullers goal, Robbens penalty, etc.), but were saved by individual brilliance, team effort or just luck every single time.

I was in a club watching with fellow Chelsea fans. We were so quiet in the 84th minute. So defeated. So silent. THE SCREAMS that erupted when Drogbas header went in‼️‼️‼️I will never forget that night.
When Bosingwa walked in front of the trophy he decided “well it is a nice spot and I won`t move a single step.” I always wondered why it was him who lifted the trophy standing in the middle now I find my answer.

Here 11 years later and it honestly feels like just the other day. I cried tears of joy this day!

Ahhhh I remember watching this at The Elephant pub in Elephant and Castle. THAT penalty went in and I dropped like a stone to the floor, rolling about in happiness. Someone shouted "quick, somebody call an ambulance!" I clambered to my feet.
Our Champions league title in 2021 was phenomenal but 2012 edition was the most memorable and legendary of all title we've ever had
i'm in tears. please, please do it again this year, boys.
