20 min Yoga Backbend Flow | Strengthen your Back and Improve FLEXIBILITY

This beautiful yoga practice for backbends is based on traditional yoga asanas with an addition of some fluid movements to strengthen your back muscles and awaken energy along the spine. “Breathe and Flow” while we create space through the entire front side of the body, learn to let go of unnecessary tension and to trust the universe as we allow ourselves to dive deeper into the space beyond our vision.
We will begin by bringing all of our attention towards our breath. Our breath will guide us, it will reveal places of tension and it will teach us how we can learn to surrender. Surrender, Let go, Release to find Strength and Power within us.
The Practice will continue with a number of spinal waves to feel fluidity and resistance of our spine, poses to strengthen muscles of our back body and those to find space and length through the front. The peak asanas of this yoga flow will be Camel pose and Bow pose, some of my all time favorite backbends that I practice on a very regular basis. We will finish with a seated forward fold to regain balance through the front and backside of our body and our spine.
Remember that flexibility takes time and regular practice. So be mindful of every movement and stretch, let go of any goals and expectations and only go as deep into each pose as your body is willing to do it today. You can repeat this yoga practice as often as it feels necessary for your body.
No equipment is necessary for this practice. Do your best, stay patient and grateful for all the change you are creating.

Day 6...this was the new video and I loved it so much...backbends are not my favorites but during this practice I never felt I wanted to stop...I could keep on breathing so yes..I loved this sequence. Marina, you are a great teacher and thank you for all your effort and kind words! x

Time went flying by today, it felt more like 10 than 20 minutes. It was so relaxing! Have I mentioned before that I love the flows by the sea?!? 😌 Makes me feel like I'm right there with you.. Day 3 of week 2 - backbend flow by the beach: done ✅

Super backbend flow, i think i like so much the feeling when i work the energy along the spine, it make feel more active for have a great day , so with this practice im ready to start very happy my day ;) thanks so much queen!

Part 3 of day 16...yes I'm still in the running :-) I did this practice at day 6 and yes...now it felt even better and my backbends don't require so much effort anymore...I can breath more controlled and hold it longer... With practice comes progression..that's what I love about yoga...you always move forward and with such a great teacher as you Marina it's just perfect to grow! I'm glad I found your you tube channel because there is so much on the internet that sometimes I feel a bit lost but now I stick onto this challenge and routine and it feels amazing!

Never get enough of spinal wave. I'm addicted to it😂 And your schedule is always perfect! Love the gentle stretches and twists in 1st practice, followed by power yoga leave me in much sweat and ending today with backbends. Feeling amazing after practice🙏❤️❤️❤️

week 2 day 4 done! I'm really appreciating this challenge Marina...it is forcing me to come back to more practicing after work to get all the videos done and I usually only practice in the morning. It is soooo helpful for releasing the tension of the day.

Week 2 Day 4 (workout 2) done!!! This is my go-to backbend flow, had done it so many times!!! My shoulder and spine love it!!! After the gentle backbend flow of workout 1, I felt more open when practicing this flow today!!! Thanks Marina!!

This flow has the perfect length to follow after or in between other flows/workouts. I'm always surprised how fast the time passes and never wish for it to end before it actually does. And so I'm finishing today's workouts with a big smile, happy to be practicing with you, Marina, and grateful that my body allows me to do all these practices! 🥰🙏🤗

I cannot thank u enough for teaching me to be stronger each time I roll out my mat 🙏🏼 Two consecutive backbend classes sure led me to overcome my fear of wheel drop and I did drop back into a wheel for the first time ever😆 the magic is a real thing with Marina 😍💖✨ Challenge day 8 happily completed

Fantastic ! I wanted to put it in a schedule because I love this flow. But I did not because we did it last week. I might bring it back for week 3 though !
At first I was a little nervous about this practice because I have quite a tight back because I currently work in an office (for 3 more days). Sitting down all day doesn't help my hip flexors/back/hamstrings at all. But I'm glad it was part of the challenge as it pushed me to give it a go. What a wonderful practice. Will definitely be saving this and keeping it in my collection to help supple/strengthen my back. Thanks!

@@MarinaAlexeeva I'm catching up with the new classes and yes I've been absent because of my pc that broke 😭 it's so inconvenient practising with my phone so I just watch yr IG classes to get an idea of what I need to do About the challenge I'd like to apologize for disappointing u but I wasn't comfortable with the idea of having to film myself practising 😳 however I still practise along with you everyday from Ig classes and even your old youtube classes 😍 and each time u never fail to lift up my spirit and implant joy within me 🙏🏼💙✨

Love how gentle this flow and how good it feels after. I remember enjoying it so much the first time i did this. I can't help to notice though that when I was doing the spinal wave I got a little dizzy. Is that common to happen?xx

Hello Almie ! I think it is quite normal if dizziness disappears shortly after. I also can get dizzy (depends on month cycle and whether I am hungry for example...I also sometimes blame it on my height lol)
