Man it was, even had a bald eagle nested at camp, tried to get it on video but it flew off

gettin up is 5am, 8am is sleepin in!!! lol, nice adventure.

Thanks for watching....I always like to put a little music in there at the beginning or somewhere in the video just for good vibes I guess....but no way I could just leave it playing through the entire video!!

That is an awesome trip. Wish I knew the property owner too haha. Such a good section of the river but SSSOOOO LONG without a place to camp.

Yeah man we definitely got lucky on that, fishing was super slow, I dunno I always do so good on the Holston but struggled this trip for some reason

Ok, picture it... Bass n beer, cfa, throw in some fish hawk, some 618, first state, one rod one reel, then.....out of no where, richard gene the fishing machine shows up!!! Omg it's like an all-star fishin rodeo!!!

@@BASSnBEER Yes Sir! I was wondering if you were going to share it on there. I just did a trip to the coast and got in some trout. We had a blast. Yeah one day I'd love to do a trip with you guys now that would be a blast!

Man I can tell you had good time. Yeah we all get those days where the fish just now biting. Minus the rain I know you had fun special at the campsite ain't nothing like sitting back drinking a cold ones and laughing and eating. 3 of My co-workers ,4 friend , and my 5 son took me on a 24 Mile kayak trip with two broken feet and a broken shoulder for Father's Day. I had a blast man for my condition I was in. I feel bad I couldn't do nothing. But they want to do this for me for what I've been through. But it was a great trip planning on doing again.

Man there is nothing like being out there, its just so peaceful, quite, the scenery is awesome, i believe were going to do rhis exact float again here in a few weeks or so for a big tournament here! Should be awesome!!!

Dude I havent been camping in so long, need to get out there again!

Same here man, and it felt great, the smell of the fire etc. The stars u can see from the country is amazing, we own 40 acres in the mountains and literally havent veen there in almost 2 years this trip made me realize I need to get up there and get the place cleaned back up for camping and stuff

Man that’s was an awesome video. I wished it would have been about 2 hours long. I have a Channel too and know ya gotta keepem short. But was a great video. I just happened on to your channel. Good stuff man.

Ehhhhhh I wouldn't say essential!!! But I do have a Hobie PA14 now and although it has its ups it also has its downs on the river....In my opinion the Bonafide is the best river kayak, paddles easily and you can take it anywhere you want....Ive only had the Hobie on the river once so far, but I had to continuously pull the drive up not to hit it on the rocks or lay downs!! But a positive in the pedal drive like a Hobie is being about to sit in an area and keep yourself in position and still have your hands free to fish!!

Just stumbled on your channel man. Dope video and trip my man. I will have to come check out the Holston River for sure. I'm just south of Nashville so its not too bad of a drive. I found your put in spot, but am not finding the mine road take out. Is it along the main river? or off a creek?

The float we did in the video is a 20 mile float from public ramp to public ramp theres nothing in between which sucks, reason we camped!! I heard they was supposed to build a ramp in between there somewhere

Hey buddy, thats actually a private property we got permission to camp on for the night!! And thats the Holston River here in East TN

Been thinking of an overnighter lately. What river is this? I live in Chattanooga. Fished TNKATT for a little over a year then put the bass rods down for the fly and haven’t looked back. Anyway, any info or invitations are appreciated. 🤝
