Great Review! I totally agree: There are so many devices today to play 2x res, pixel perfect, colorful, no tearing at all ... I love to play it again on something with all this little heart-warming unperfectness of the retro days in the 80s & 90s.

For the price i guess... but I'd rather get a cheap smartphone. Even a $40 Walmart phone has enough power for great GBA emulation, for example. And plug in a controller. They even make those controller things you put the phone in the middle so it feels like a handheld. If you're that broke it makes sense i suppose. But for me, the alternatives just make more sense.

You know you can download emulators onto your pc, and with a dual stick gamepad, you can play to your hearts consent.? Just sayin', as a good man many said....

the ergonomics and size of the buttons are what I like most about this device. It makes playing for long periods of time not as painful on the hands as it is with some pricier handhelds 👴🏻 also, Ive noticed gba and snes performance has improved after the last firmware update

I grabbed one of these for $16 on aliexpress today just to tinker with. It won't replace my RP3+, but I just felt like it was worth the price to mess with. That and it having RCA output, my kids can hook it to the TV in the back seat of my Chevy suburban, so that could be fun.

Got mine June 2023. I love it.

I have a RG35xx, but I don't have it always with me. This might be a nice little device to always have in my jacket or bag. That way I can't forget it and I don't have to worry about scratching the nice handheld up or needing a large protection bag. Perfect for a quick match in Advance Wars or Tetris when I get stranded somewhere.

Just bought one for $13 free shipping. Excited waiting for mine to arrive.

7:53 the concave and convex application on the buttons are rotated from the original. That’s why it seems confusing!

Looks very good. I'll be buying the black colored version as I prefer my devices like that nowadays. I do hope a CFW is made for it as it has tons of potential.

I have the same issue with my power button. Is there any fix?

The V90 is definitely better.

Gb300 and sf2000 its my 2 favourites im just playing gb and gbc on those handhelds

Absolutely nobody is buying the black, lime green, or "Mario" red SF2000s... I would love to see what they actually look like. I ordered a lime green one two weeks ago, hopefully arrives next week so I can see how nice the thing actually looks.

I got the two additional controllers and they work fine. was playing 2 player contra just the other day. even got the konami code in on the first shot. Phalax for SNES also played surprisingly well and was fun. Felt close to the real thing i do like the dpad a little better than the one on the actual device. the added grip extensions are also nice

I accidentally deleted the content of the SD does anyone know where I can get a copy?

Which SD? You can’t delete anything if the SD cards stay in the device. Also, your computer will ask you twice if you’re sure about deleting so…..? 🤔

Im really considering buying this despite having a Anbernic RG552 (ya iknow, "wtf" right?). Anbernic devices are not very confortable, andif i just want to play something easy and fast, and I dont mind leaving around or be afraid of breaking, this might be a good choice. Just wish a bigger screen, im 42yo and my eyesight arent good anymore.

i bought my v90 25 bucks if u want more emulation and portbility i prefer v90 but this beast i bought also by 17 bucks the matte black color its there new color snes and gba runs better for this device than v90 ...v90 has some issues in frameskipping

Adin..i liked your comment " if you're the kind of person likes to tinker and add CFW its not for you" we can hope for Custom FW..whether the community will bother with such a cheap device remains to be seen..but its still good value as it stands stock..nice informative video..

I got one - about 2 weeks ago. There is updated firmware on data frog with all the roms. seems to perform better. SNES games don't run that well but NES, GB and GBC seems ok GBA is ok on new firmware. Mega drive is really really good. Arcade..its more like CPS1 stuff works fine.

To make my Snes work properly or at least playable. Start the game. Quit and restart the game. Game will run better.

Not the best for gba

some people say it cannot play super Nintendo games well , some say you have to load the games twice to run well, some people say they have not problem with anything. I need to make a spreadsheet and find a average or something. the price is right, just wish there was a definitive answer

I already have the v90, but the design of this is tempting me to buy it...

Hey man. For the money. Yes it’s worth it. Your own Roms go in a separate folder and show up in a separate section which isn’t too bad.

@@dadou193 Like most have stated elsewhere, the D-pad is a bit crappy, so games that require more precise controls will need to be handled with the baby joystick, which is in an awkward position. IMO, they should invest on a better D-pad, lose the joystick, & just focus on just the older systems that actually play well on it (Gameboy, NES, Genesis), then maybe they could toss in some TurboGrafx stuff & optimize things better. Lose the MAME & GB Advance stuff, since the hardware can barely run it. I'd rather just have 200 good games that work well. Right now, it's basically my bathroom Gameboy Tetris unit, but it does a solid job at that! For the money, it's cool for a cheap travel/semi-disposable unit.

Trust me its worth it It helps me when there is no internet connection

there is also firmware updates by enthusiasts society

Do not switch it off without exiting to the main page 😱 Also, do not try to clone the SD card, it will initiate a ‘self destruct program’ that renders the card unusable 😱
