It’s amazing to me how many people can’t get beyond the music... then mute your phone. Also, how many down grade that she is doing it on a mannequin. That is what stylists practice/work on. And YES this can be done on human hair. I’ve had some of these done on myself and other people in my family for special occasions. How about STOP the negativity and praise the fact that their is some major talent and art happening right in front of your eyes by one person who has an AMAZING talent.

Merchelene Rathilall don’t shampoo your hair on the day you’ll style it. When I do hair and make up for clients, I make sure to remind them not to wash they’re hair the day off. Hair will behave better when it’s a little oily.

There are 3 ways to achieve a hair with texture like the one in the video for hair styling preparation. 1) Instead of using shampoo to wash your hair. Use an acid soap (acid soap are beauty soap that is normally use on skin to achieve a more lighter skin) Acid soap removes almost 80% of the oil on your hair that will allow the stylist to persuade the hair in any direction it needs to go to achieved the desired hairstyle. 2) Lemon spray... The lemon juice works like a hairspray that gives a maximum hold. It also almost removes 60% of the oil on your hair, that will make the hair more manageable on achieving any desired hairstyles. (however this method is preferable to be used during night time if you plan to use this method during day time then make it sure that the event will be held indoors.) Lemon juice reacts as a bleaching solution when exposed under thw sun. Unless you want a sun-kissed highlight in your hair, then stay indoors. 3) Chemical Hairspray. This works like the lemon juice only that you can use it even during heavy sunlight exposure. It provides maximum hold on your hair, gives the hair a kinda sticky texture that will allow your hair to be persuaded to achieve a desired hairstyle. (However since it is made out of chemical then it will practically damage your hair.) Healthy hair tip: After styling your hair using any hair styling preparation i mentioned above. Please wash your hair with warm water with your preferred shampoo and instead of using a drugstore hair conditioner. Use a coconut oil or an olive oil. Wrap your hair with a towel leave it for an hour or best if overnight. This will hydrate and nourish your hair back to its healthiest form. :) ❤

Because you're trying to do it on the back of your own head, most likely have different hair texture than a mannequin wig, and most of these styles only work if you use something like hair wax to keep it holding together smoothly.

If it hurts your eyes sooooo much then stop watching the tutorial and find another platform that suits you. The lady is taking her time to show you how to make hairstyles. Take it or Leave it.
