Totally agree. I'm sticking with the previous iteration Pendragon 5.2 anyway as I'm convinced Chaosium will have shoehorned in a lot of modern day sensibilites and identity politics into the upcoming version.

Very excited for a Monty python game. Now it doesn’t have to be on “accident” that we turn our campaigns into a flying circus episode

Good thing you included that shout-out to King Arthur Pendragon (KAP)! I have been waiting for that new edition for ages, and it appears to be very thorough and complete, with a system I know still firmly in place.

DIE should arrive soon, so that is the game I'm most exicted about checking out!

Another one that is officially coming to kickstarter and backerkit backers is DIE RPG, which you guys covered some months ago! Very excited to get my physcial book in hand and test it out with some friends!

A friend of mine made a very similar game to One Breath Left many years ago. It was great. Very tense. Looking forward to seeing their version of it.

Yazeba's B&B looks like an excellent game for people who aren't me. It's the incorporation of elements of Legacy board games, with its sticker system to unlock new scenarios, that intrigues me most, honestly. But playing established characters is _really_ intimidating to me because of the possibility I'll get it 'wrong' which intellectually I know is ridiculous but also... Anxiety doesn't listen to that part of my brain. I recognize there's an audience for that sort of thing - fandom roleplay spaces is a straight up 50/50 divide between people who enjoy playing canon characters vs OC characters (tends to be a bad idea to intermingle, mind), but... (...I'm starting to get over it via GMless PBP games where the NPCs are kind of a free for all, but...)

If you like the legacy board game sticker element, you should check out Forbidden lands. it uses that element in it's setting and is a traditional rpg vis a vis character creation/gameplay.

BREAK!! is fantastic!! I had the privilege of playing many campaigns of it and honestly, it's my favorite TTRPG of all time!! I can't wait to get the full book

Surprised you didn’t mention “Dragonbane” by Free League Publishing successfully Kickstarted last year it will be their high fantasy effort and has an excellent solo mode co-written by Shawn “Ironsworn” Tomkin

That Brindlewood Bay AP was great fun. Hopefully you’ll return to the Murder Mavens or another one of those mysteries soon.

It's not on the Twitter list so I'll throw out a shout for Free League's Dragonbane, the latest edition of Sweden's answer to D&D. Kickstarted last year and out later this year.

Awesome list! When will I have time to play them all? Not on the list is Emberdawn Studios - Demon Ascendants so here is a shout out. Set in a fantasy world where players have a demonic bloodline giving them various powers from the demonic realms. Art looks really cool.

May be less official as of now, but The Dungeon Coach is putting together a game called DC20 RPG (codenamed at least) and it's seriously looking good!

At this rate I have NEED! to play a different RPG every week to manage before 2024. And they are not even released yet. A worthy challenge.

Thank you for recommending Pendragon. I wouldn't have discovered it without your mention of it. I intend to adapt it to a Fire Emblem themed campaign. Somehow, the world of King Arthur feels right as a reference for helping capture the beautiful tragedies of FE.

@@dicebreaker I have an idea for adding a mechanic called The Weight of the Crown for characters who are royals. At times it makes your blows heavier, hit harder because you are fighting to protect your subjects. But at other times it is a burden that threatens to crush your spirit and/or your sanity.

Backing Walking Dead already, Public Access sounds VERY interesting.

Blood & Doom is on Kickstarter now and will come out in 2023. It's a Conan-esque game with Cthulhu mythos elements and looks really interesting.

Imperium Maledictum sounds suspiciously like Dark Heresy with a new mechanic and a fresh coat of paint. That's not a bad thing per se.

Break!! looks incredible! I cannot wait to check it out. \[T]/

you are going to play double the amount of different RPGs in one year than I did my 25 years. Shocking but no drama. What realy drives me nuts... asking myself where I startet to fail my life, is by realising the many years I didnt play a single fucking oneshot now. Not even this depressive solobooks. Time for a change
