Welcome to America when organizers are most expensive than the things you need to organize!! A few years ago when all this fever about organizing and the Mary Kondo method showed up I decided to tackle the issue until I realize that it was cheaper just to get rid of most of my possessions leaving just what it's really necessary and voila!! Lots and lots of space, closets organized, less drawers and furniture, less pantries, freezers, pots pans and kitchen gadgets, refrigerators, less "decoration and accessories" you name it. I love my house now, clean efficient, organized, minimalist. I really enjoy it. For instance: Do this woman really need to have all those pillows?? All my friends have an average of 30 pairs of socks, 30- 60 panties, 20 jeans, 20 sweaters, 5-7 winter jackets, 40-60 T-shirts, 60 pair of shoes.... lots and lots of sheets, make up, etc. My 5 cents here: Have less and be happier!

I think many of us just keep getting new things without getting rid of old things. Our stuff accumulates gradually without us realizing it, until suddenly we're overwhelmed. I've been decluttering recently. With every full trash bag that leaves my home, I feel a little more peace.

Couldn't agree more with successfully "finishing one spot motivates one to do more!". I've gone through my house and got rid of any extra decor pillow inserts. I had some pillows that were not made with covers but my dry cleaners has alteration services and they've agreed to put in zippers making them into covers. They kept the stuffing and I got those covers now. No more pillow storage! Enjoyed the video very much! Thank you for sharing your ideas!

Great storage ideas! My son is in the process of buying his first house. I think storage containers would make a good house warming gift idea. Him and his two young children have lived with us for the last 8 years and I know they will need some organization. 😄

Emily, Thank you for sharing! I really like the bamboo organizers for the kitchen, the clear dividers, and the storage that you used in your linen closet. I tend to reorganize or rejuvenate every three months. Habit I got into when my children were younger.

It always feel good when everything has its place and its all neat and packed away.

I used zip closed binders for my 4 kids to hold the school papers I wanted to keep. I also had medium sized containers for each of my kids to put the binders in and anything else we had saved over the years then when they all moved you got their totes. I decluttered my house several years ago and it was like a weight lifted. So satisfying

Hi would be great if you could use/repurpose some regular/ecofriendly boxes as organizers. So much of plastic in a living space just seems unpalatable

Hi Emily, For my Christmas Pillows and Blankets - I have space bags, once I wash all the Christmas Pillows + Blankets I put them in a large space bag and vacuum it down. This makes tons of space in my Christmas/Winter bins for all the decorations.

Great tips! I’m in the process of organizing our closets and i think that closet dresser will be perfect in my husband’s closet! Saving this video for my next organization task! I don’t want to get everything and be overwhelmed, so I take one project at a time.❤

Emily this was a fantastic video. In 2020 during the lockdown I went through our closets and there was one that I think either the stiff boxes for the clear dividers would help. So much helpful information though for my drawers. This month I hope to get started and declutter. I did a few kitchen cabinets already, unplanned, just ended up it that way, but glad they are done. I love organising, my friends borrow me on a regular basis, we pick just a small area at a time, try not to spend too much money and sometimes even swap storage between friends as some better in other locations x

Pillows take up so much space!! I've gone to just keep ing a few size of inserts and buying different covers. amazon has a great selection which is great for seasonal pillows. I love your honest take on the products you tried. Thank you for this!

Wow! Emily. You are on a roll. I cleaned out my linen/ etc. closet the other day. Took me 3 hours. It was on my January list. The hardest part is getting started, right?Felt so good. Got rid of some items, and a grocery bag of trash. When you say you donated, where is your preference?

Best organization is decluttering and minimizing. Vacuum seal bags from the DT works great, keeps dust out AND fits perfectly under the bed:)

I use the dollar tree vacuum seal bags. I use them for comforters, sheets and beach towels. We’re doing a major purge at our house because we have too much stuff!

Decluttering should always come first. Otherwise you're paying for needless organisational tools. I think the main thing is mindfulness. Chosen carefully these tools can be super helpful.

Must be great to have closets for decor items!

I transfer all our flavored potato and tortilla chips into 2 gallon ziplock bags. Allows us to reseal them without clunky clips. Problem was how to store them in the pantry. Then I bought the acrylic shelf dividers. Slid those on the pantry shelf and each chip bag slides into the slots made with the dividers. Works perfect.

Nice idea I've to store all the house christmas decorations trees st patrick day summer winter decorations in my bedroom in the corner in storage units

I have the last stacked organizer because they collapsed after a few months . And I didn’t put heavy things in it. I really like it initially too.

I didn't know Amazon sold those bags with a pump! I'm excited because my vacuum doesn't have it where I can suck the air out. Thank you for all your great tips. New sub and excited for more!

I ordered my dresser from Ikea today. I Will be getting a couple of the dresser drawer inserts. Wish you had shown a couple more for kitchen cabinets but I'm sure I will find some. TY 😛
