I've been from Chiang Mai to Bangkok with train 3rd class hard seat... Was definitely fun, got some gifts from the locals.

Your videos are always informative and interesting. All the best, and I hope to see much more like this.

For clarification...you can book upper (cheaper) or lower berths and select your seat upon booking. The later Special Express passes through Doi Khuntan Mountains and tunnel in daylight but this train does not have a restaurant car....but a better choice as it arrives a bit later in CM.

Hello, I like your nice sleeper train journey from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. The train has many facilities inside my friends

My personal preference for milkshakes (or milk based drinks) is vanilla but only because I can get away with so much e.g. adding coffee or caramel or salted caramel to get a diff flavour, I find I can't do that with most of the other flavours

I am with Leanne on the milkshake.... Chocolate is definately the best ❤

The newer trains with pink or red seats are called CNR train. You can select it when you book online.

There is always more social going economy than luxury if you meet friendly people. Just bring what you need. I would want a spray bottle of peroxide, and some anti bacterial wipes, and much prefer to save than to spend.

Exactly. I’ve flown that route 20 times or so (and been driven a couple times). But my dream option would probably be the first class bus-quite posh.
