Would like to see how she fares against the top team. Yes her play against Switzerland may have been good but Switzerland is nowhere close to the kind of team Canada, Franc, England or even Germany are. So I will wait to see how she or any other newbies play against the top 5 teams

She will have her chance in the upcoming She Believes Cup-- So will Sullivan . Right now we could put TWO teams out there and have them both ranked in the top 10 of FIFA-- we have that many young players

the new players so good and faster than before. Long's as a centre back defender also good enough; her long passing and read the game is very well. Awesome!! Short and Long both USWNT players played together is quite funny.

YES-- BUT will she stick once Sidney Lerouix and Amy Rodriguez come off maternity leave ?

the only newbie that should get called up more in the future is lynn. short was short with her passes and kept losing the ball and I already forgot about the others that played. as long as jill doesnt get rid of press. press is a game changer. press and lynn working together up top would be crazy! imagine the goals

I think that Williams will be a permament fixture on the NT, Short was underwhelming and should have been subed out in the 2nd half. Allie held her own in the centerback position, and I think Jill is doung an okay job but she gets a lot of criticism.

I'm still not impressed by the newbies. The first half of the game started slow and it only really picked up by the second half because the Swiss were gassed out already. Not to mention, Switzerland had no defense and was playing their B-Team as none of the regular starters for the Swiss was there. US should've been up by a couple of goals in the first half. None of the newbies didn't really make much of an impact either. Yeah, Williams scored but it was an error in the Swiss defense that led to her scoring. The vets were the ones who were making the most chances with the balls. Williams will be remembered for being in the #FirstCapFirstGoal club and no doubt, she will be invited back. But none of the other newbies were that impressive, imo.

How can any one be impressed by the play of the newbies when they play week teams like Switzerland who we have beaten just about every time we've played them. It obvious that they are not a good defensive team nor are they a good offensive team. Oh yes they will be playing Romania next. Is there any chance we would loose to Romania probable not but to gauge these players when they are playing teams that they are playing isn't really a good gauge of whether these players are good enough to make the National team. Lets play Canada, France England or maybe even Japan and just see really how good some of these newbies really are against the top rank teams

this group is NOT all of the so called newbies- Pugh- Hinkle were not at this camp. Jill Ellis is simply looking at other players. She has 3 years before deciding on next World Cup Roster

Not for long. She scored after 51 seconds on the pitch. Four days later Kealia Ohai scored on her debut after 48 seconds on the pitch.

I am concerned by a couple of the defensive give-aways on the part of the US. But really good to see some new blood - we need to keep the flow of new talent brisk.

More technical than who? Than Alex Morgan? Meghan Klingenberg? Rapinoe? Pugh? No, it was a change in tactics that produced this result, including that Switzerland was missing 4 important players. Not many teams apart from the US can survive that. Also, the Swiss team was tired from the first half and they don't have quality substitutes. When the US substitutes came in fresh, they wiped the floor with them with their speed.

give me a break i Could easily name five forward players better than Alex Morgan , Rapinoe is slow player how lost her touch after the injury and her only advantage was the free kick and now we have Topin, and Meg Kling a left back who cant play with her left foot whats up with that ?! Last of all, don't forget about the players age in World Cup In 2019, US need young players .

+mojack jutaily I only agree with the alex morgan and pinoe part. pinoe is trash and alex is ok. the only reason alex is so famous is because of her face. woso has hyped her up. she isnt as technical as other players on the team. im glad shes trying to get more experience with lyon. itll make her a better player
