Excited for Pond College tour. I love their huge painted urns

It is not the concrete. It is the construction. Concrete with waterproofing must be done properly-properly soil compaction/virgin soil, correct concrete specs for the water pressure and soil conditions, possibly concrete additives, steel reinforcing, curing, rubberised waterproofing etc. Liner ponds are simpler to construct, especially for the DIY enthusiast.

Well said. There are large concrete ponds and pools that have been in place and holding water for 50 years and longer, without any cracking.

Exactly. Well said. Aquascape is pushing for liner sales, that's understandable giving their business, but I find this video really misleading and dishonest.

Love the front pond with the moss & over growth. Can't wait to see what happens with that concrete tomb.

Is there two types of liners those that will rip and those that will rip?

Their liner is quite durable when careful with it and installing it correctly with underlayment beneath

in my island there are a type of pool/ponds that don't ever crack they are called safreig the oldest back from 1849

What should I do with this. I'm not sure what happen.. I have a pump with poly fill running right now. Any help would be appreciated. I don't know how to add a pic but it looks like mud water.

They have done concrete pools for ever they are just fine this one was done bad I bet if you guys sold concrete with your name on it you would push it for sale it makes great ponds and pools

I was a pool builder in Oz and we have more pools per capita than any country on Earth and I can say that this pond cracked due to poor design and construction Built correctly, a concrete pond/pool should last for many decades

listen learned dont get a concrete pond

The construction of that "Concrete Pond" is abysmal, to say the least! This has nothing to do with being a " concrete pond" it has to do with bad construction.

Your concrete quote is ridiculous. I’ve got a concrete pond that’s been in place for over 40 years with no problems.

A bunch of moldy bolders & rusty water yuk....his property & backyard look a mess
