Hi! 😊 I have two JBL eon 712 and a pioneer FLX-4 to connect both speakers to the mixer (RCA) what cables would I need? I think I should use an XLR to RCA cable and another XLR male/female cable for the pass thru, is this correct? Thanks for the video my friend

Hi, thanks for your comment my friend😊. These are my recommendations for your DJ PA setup. You can try two types of connection settings. 1. Pioneer FLX-4 --> 2 x JBL EON712 (use LEFT RCA Male to XLR/TS Male cable) (use RIGHT RCA Male to XLR/TS Male cable) 2. Pioneer FLX-4 --> 1x JBL EON712 and Passthru --> 1x JBL EON712 (use LEFT & RIGHT RCA Male to XLR/TS Male cable) From Passthru (use XLR Female to XLR Male/TRS Male Balanced cable) Hope I can answer your question. Do you reccomend/ does this system require, using a mixer for better pre amp outs? Or can we just run a DJ controller straight into the top L&R then thru to the sub? And EQ on the JBL connect app? Using one PRX918 and one PRX915

Hi, thanks for your comment, Don't worry, I understand your question 😉 You cannot stream audio using Bluetooth to all four speakers simultaneously from 1 computer or smartphone. Both speakers can only use TWS (True Wireless Stereo) and audio streams can only be from 1 computer or smartphone via Bluetooth at a time. Hello. I have 4 JBL Eon 715 and two subs, the 718, the problem is I can't really push the sound, every now and then they start showing a red light on the clip button. Any advice please. Also note that I am new to the DJ/PA business

Hi, thanks for your comment. First of all, welcome to the DJ/PA business my friend.💃🕺 Based on my experience, there are many possible causes of this red light problem. Here are the steps you need to make sure of: 1. Mixer to PA Speaker First please make sure your XLR connection is from the MAIN OUTPUT of the mixer to the EON715 CH1/CH2 input. Then the PassThru output from the EON715 goes to the CH1/CH2 Sub EON718s input. You can set the volume up to 6 dB for this PassThru. Don't do it -> From main mixer output to sub and sub to Top. The red light will come out. 2. EON 715 & 718S firmware Please update the firmware for this EON715 & 718S via the JBL Pro Connect app. JBL already fixed the red light problem with the latest firmware update. 3. JBL Pro Connect I recommend you use this app. It's easy to set up all your EON PA Speakers. I strongly recommend that you must select any PRESET EQ first before you start your CUSTOM EQ. 4. Connection recommendation for 4 x EON715 Top + 2 x EON718S Subs LEFT Channel - Main mixer out to Top 1 and goes to sub 1. Sub 1 PassThru out to Top 2. RIGHT Channel - Main mixer out to Top 3 and goes to sub 2. Sub 2 PassThru out to Top 4. I hope these steps will help you to solve the red light problem. Hi, thanks for your comment. I really appreciated it. You will not be able to update the firmware if your JBL pro connect cannot communicate with your speakers. Since I have been using this JBL EON speaker, I have updated the firmware several times and there has been a lot of improvement in the sound quality of this JBL EON 700 series speaker. I suggest you uninstall JBL pro connect first and restart your device. Then, reinstall JBL pro connect. Before you open the JBL pro connect app, make sure the device is connected to the Internet. This is because JBL pro connect needs to have an internet connection. Turn on Bluetooth on your device. Now on the JBL EON 7115/718S speaker screen menu, select Bluetooth Pairing Control and press ok. On JBL pro connect you should be able to see the speaker name JBL 715 / 718S and click connect. Now you can control your speakers. If you have any questions, just ask me, I'm ready to answer you based on my experience with the JBL EON and JBL pro connect apps. Take care and have a nice day!

Hi , helpfull video for the beginners on the P.A. just me , i have lot of years as Dj in small clubs but never really interested sound enginering , recently i purchase a pair of 715's great sound , i know thats not the ideal , but did you thing that's a bad idea put one 718s just in the middle of the 715's ? Or better wait to get a pair of this ? At the moment my budget its not enought for the two subs 😭. Thanks .

I am also like you as a beginner in P.A. 😊 For your question about whether you need 1 or 2 eon718s subwoofers, I recommend you get one eon718s subwoofer first. Then set up your 2 top eon715 + 1 sub eon718 and play your favorite songs. If you are satisfied with the sound, then there is no need to buy another eon718s subwoofer. I admit there is an advantage if you have 2 eon78s subwoofers. You can set a CARDIOID mode for 2 subwoofers and the bass sound will be louder. @jblsoundbiz Can you help me setting the gain level of eon 715? I read some articles in this topic, they state that the clip light shouldnt be flashing. But is it ok if it is flashing green not yellow or if even if its green but keeps flashing I should turn it back to the steady green? The problem is with steady green its not as loud as expected. Hello, I need help... I have 2 x EON 715 and 2 x PRX 915 XLF. I am using JBL Connect Pro software version 2.00.00. I created 2 groups, one for the SUBs and another for the TOPs. I can't rename the groups even when pressing the pencil to edit them... Am I the only one seeing this problem? THANKS

Hi, Thank you for your comments. Your problem is the same as mine using JBL Connect Pro App v2.00.00. I also can't rename groups, even in demo mode. I have emailed JBL and am awaiting their response on this issue. I am also waiting for the next software update for this JBL Connect Pro App and hope it will fix the problem. 🤗

Hi, thanks for your comment. The JBL Pro Connect app for this model's EON700 series doesn't have the same functionality as a Digital Mixer on the market that you'd expect. But for JBL EON ONE MK2, you can see the eq output and have the same function as Digital Mixer in the market. I hope to answer your question. When i use cables the volume is much less loud then when streaming music through bluetooth do you also have that problem ?

En segundo lugar, actualice el firmware v5.1.3.0 del subwoofer JBL EON718S. Luego reproduce tu música y comprueba si la luz del limitador sigue encendida o no. Hi, thanks for your comment. Yes, you can pair it with EON718S. I admit that the EON718S is big and heavy but if you want strong bass, it's the right choice. This year, JBL has released its latest product, the JBL PRX900 series. Maybe you can try to pair it with PRX915XL jblpro.com/en/products/prx915xlf but the price is quite expensive. But the advantage is that you can set it up using just one application, JBL Pro Connect to combine with the EON712 + PRX915XLF. Another suggestion is you can try to pair it with the JBL IRX115S jblpro.com/en/products/irx115s but for this sub, you can't set up the EQ using JBL Pro Connect and you have to do it manually. Hi, thanks for your comment. Both EON715 and IRX12BT speakers have good bass sounds. But to be fair in comparing these two speakers, we look at the EQ settings. On the Flat EQ preset, I can say the IRX112BT has a better bass sound. The advantage of this EON715 is that you can tune the bass EQ according to your taste through the JBL Pro Connect Application. For this IRX112BT, you can just press the EQ button that has been set by JBL. But, if I look at the specifications for the JBL Partybox 1000, I can expect that the bass sound is better than the IRX112BT.
