Namasthe,Why you didn't mention name of your voice trainer whom you met on your music journey?🙏🏻

I have asthma and I've been told by the fitness trainers I've worked with that I'm a shallow breather and don't breathe from my tummy or even chest. It's so nice to learn about the registers cause I'm sure it impacts how I sing. Thank you for that. Now the trick would be to actually practice that.

You can definitely start at this age. When you train for a while you will understand how good is your natural pitch and rhythm sense. Accordingly you can practice and develop it.

@voxguru am not a learned singer, but have a passion for music, I sing on karoake apps. I do basic riyaaz, "sa" ka riyaaz few times , for ,few minutes a week. Yet, find it difficult to reach higher notes. Pls advise Jk Karnataka

Try to step up your riyaaz with more challenging exercises as well. Like alankars, jumping notes etc. Also pay attention to your vocal registers.

You will understand this better when you start recognizing the pitch of each note. A good foundation in classical music will definitely help in this understanding!
