Suggestion for this series: the immortal must win the game to claim the prize. There is 1 on each team, but the heralds only need to figure out who the immortal on the winning team is. That way, they have to play well enough to beat the other immortal while still being subtle about it

I like this idea. And to make it so both sides can win in one game, offer $500 to winning immortal and $500 to whoever can guess the immortal/

WK was too obvious. No herald is capable of winning by just pushing towers. There is a reason why heralds games last 180+ minutes. They hate pushing. And everybody knows BSJ loves pushing.

Would be funny if they have no idea and all play like heralds😂 Edit: The condition to win the prize would be win without getting caught. So that they will all progressively play better.

Reminds me of a time where a friend "mastering" The Werewolves only put villagers (some with abilities, like hunter etc.) but did not put any werewolves in the game. We were like 8 to play, took us 3-4 rounds to realize and probably because players killed couldn't stop laughing. Was a fun a game!

from this video we can learn that Herald doesn't mean a bad player, it's just a way of living

Nyx was the epitome of herald skill/gameplay, sometimes he hits a sick play and but very inconsistent

Even the ingame quests counts arcane ring as sharing regen (mana). so it should count imo.

It can't really count as sharing regen if it does not even give mana regen. It gives a 75 mana in 0 sec even if it took a second it does not effect your mana regen number so should not count.

It's more about the concious action of buying regen for the team, not just giving regen. By buying a support item, you out yourself, everybody can randomly find a neutral item and use it while they look for something they want more.

An actual herald that is seen as the impostor should get an extra. And everyone should want to win, like getting a 30% extra as well. (Or losing 30% if you lose)

The second i saw WK walking behind a tower without ult i knew it. First herald instinct is, " if i have no ult i'm not going in" 7:18.

Wk was obvious, no herald would ever skip stun - you stun - you kill him - you win.

not everyone in the upper bracket skips stun. lvl1 stun is good for playmaking, cancelling tp and chasing.

I'm no WK player and only use him sparingly but I do know there are times when you let one skill point unused usually lvl.6 and save it for ult when you get caught and ganked and make an assessment if it's worth using the 3min cd lvl.1 ult and your team is nearby to countergank or you're alone and you just tank the gank and die not wasting ult cd for later.

wk was pretty obvious imo. the item build was designed to look stupid, but it's actually quite strategic. it's not the kind of build a herald would do, they like greed and comfort items (invis). building weird team items that help with pushing is exactly what a smart player would do if they wanted to carry the game without racking up too many kills themselves. in addition to the cunning item build, the single-minded focus on pushing towers is not herald gameplay at all, even if feeding occurs in the process. i wasn't sure about legion. if it wasn't for the toxicity i actually would've picked out nyx, but i ended up being undecided between legion and rubick.

in all likelihood, most heralds signing up for this series are just people with a second herald account. not many new players in dota anymore, and with so many smurfs in herald games it tends to burn them out quick.

I have an idea for a weird challenge: Chess Dota. It's 5v5 All Pick on the standard map, but with a twist: there's only 1 player per team, drafting and controlling all 5 heroes. Alternative version: have a single Immortal controlling 5 heroes on one side, and 5 heralds on the other.

WK was obvious as hell, but legion actually had me fooled. That seemed like a genuine herald player.

In this concept, why don't just give the price to the winner's team? So all ppl aim to win instead of doing ruining staff and immortals are forced to sandbag less. Ppl will definitely blame each other but the show... Guests will literally try to win and hide their rank simultaneously and not just make fun stuff and hope others will not found out they're immortals

me and my friend are immortal (me unnumbered, him top 1000) and we tried boosting my main account (which is stuck in sub 1k MMR for years now to the point I abandoned it). One day we decided to bring it up to at least ancient but we just couldn't. The heralds were too strong. Even all the way to legend 5, it's still herald gameplay and we would lose 3x as many games as we won. Our longest winning streak was 9 games until matchmaking anti-boosting kicked in. This basically proved my theory that dota's matchmaking (at the time at least) enforced a >50% winrate. Overall, the span of 3 months, I gained about 300 MMR, bringing my 900+ MMR to 1200+ MMR. The highest we got it during the run was 2800+MMR. You just can't win.

WK was extremely obvious, his only "disguise" was only not taking any 1st, multiple times I played with Heralds (because I'm just guardian (going up and down 2-5) so sometimes herald showed up) and even with just 2 of them the game can extend by 20 mins at least. So no, pushing with WK is a justified strategy, expecially with those talents
