Hopefully appreciating Doug's work equally. Although having kids of my own, I know that's unlikely! Also, just wanted to say, its cool how after having watched Doug's version of this trip, how you've managed to keep the content different enough to keep the audience engaged, that takes panning, thought & skill, and is appreciated. Cheers from Australia.

I use the whacky rig with yellow tip. It’s a bass slayer. I go to the LAND OF LAKES region in NOrth Frontenac. A few years ago some pro fisherman did a special on the area right where I fish. They were good not to say the lake just the region. Since COVID too many folks found it. Sad but I still go yearly twice or three times a year. Nice deep, rock cuts and great sites.

Hi Joe, just wanted to thank you for all of these wonderful videos. I only discovered your channel a couple of weeks back and have been working my way through all the videos each night ever since. As a video maker myself, I appreciate all of the often unnoticed work that goes into making them. I learn something new and often several new things from everyone. You truly are an inspiration. I might be mad but at 58 years old I’m find myself thinking seriously about dipping my toes into the waters of the wilderness. Thank you so much and keep up the great work.

Joe, for future reference you're fishing that wacky worm too fast. Don't reel as much, instead let it sink down 1-2 feet and give it just a couple of short, small pops with your rod, reel in the slack, wait for about 5 seconds, rinse and repeat. Try giving it a couple of small little pops in the water right next to you where you can see it, you'll get the idea of the kind of wiggle you're trying to give it.

Joe , your ax skills are just incredible. Really enjoy watching you. How you hit the same first cut several times over is amazing. You have been doing it a very long time. I think I read that you had a challenge on a contest early on.......boy don't worry about it...you are very good at what you do. I love coming along & living these trips with you & friends.

Nothing better than the sound of rain on the tarp... and the glug of a growler.

I really like the size of the new axe. I think it is perfectly sized for camping and attaching to a bag or something similar. How well does it maintain the edge?

I'm usually eating whenever I watch Joe's videos. And then Doug picked his nose. Yummy addition to my spaghetti.
