    As mentioned in another comment Blue Collar Bobbers has amazing seats. They’re a bit pricey but I had a cheap bobber seat before and switched over to the 13” super cushioned seat and it made a world of difference

    The first mod I did for my 2008 Yamaha vstar1100 was the headlight, I put an LED conversion kit and then I added passing lights to my motorcycle all 3 lights have LEDs and all have high beam, 143,000 lumens per, because I need to see farther up the road at night because of deer and it makes cars notice me more, second mod was the horn which I rarely use because of my bright front lights. I converted my signals and brake light to LEDs also..in my state if you have a loud exhaust or even if you don't have the original manufacturered exhaust they will fail it for inspection, so my exhaust mod went out the window for now..I have other project mods in the works over the winter..

    Hi, if you want a more comfortable Springer seat for your bobber you could get the seat reupholstered with a thicker inner cushion, they will use the same pan, or you could diy. Just watch some videos on youtube see how other people have done it..

    I put the short shots on my old Shadow 750. Sounded mean as can be. Such a deep rumble sound. Great set of pipes. Current bike is a V Star 950 with Freedom Performance pipes. Loud as can be. I have to wear ear plugs at times on long rides due to ringing from the exhaust, but loud pipes save lives. Just remember to keep the rubber side down and the shiny side up.

    To make yourself feel better at present I would suggest that you get something to put over the seat. A gel pad doesn't take up much space can be placed on the seat for when you ride. No one will see it because it's under your ass that will help for now. But there's a bigger problem with the solo seat in that is that you can't pick up a chick. With my V-Star 1100 I went with the stock seat took off the sissy bar and saddlebags and it looks amazing

    hey your bike seems to run great and thanks for the advise. I also have a xvs650 and got one problem... it seems to be slower than normal and it misfires a lot. It's top speed is 55mph (when it should reach 90). I have a straight pipe system but stock jetting and air intake. (bought it as it is) As air intake i've been thinking about Baron's xXX and a Dynojet kit. What you think?

  • @SnackDetour

    @SnackDetour

    3 жыл бұрын

    Hey Tarinder, if you have stock jetting with an exhaust and an intake it's running way too lean. It's getting too much air and not enough fuel. You must get it rejetted asap with the mods since it's carbbed there is no ecu to "learn" the new mods. That is why your speed is so much slower.. it will probably bog and not ride right... So get it done ASAP. Be safe out there. Cheers.

    @@durtysouthkustomz8862 For the most part if you take care of it, they're very reliable. Just got to grease the splines with a moly based grease on the final drive as these bikes are shaft driven, not chain/belt and this is the most common failure. The weight shouldn't be an issue, but for long rides on highway, I would defiantly want something bigger. I know a lot of people take the 650 on the highway and its perfectly capable, but anything above 70mph it starts to really scream lol. Especially if you're riding two up a lot I'd want something in the 900cc+ range for cruisers. I do agree that a bike you're able to go to places and do things while ATVing you're mostly out playing in the woods. Cheers!

    you cannot stop or deflect another vehicle using sound waves or colored lights when someone is encroaching on your lane take evasive maneuvers FIRST to avoid a collision. THEN when you are no longer on a collision path blow your horn if that makes you feel superior. sooner or later you are going to blow your horn at someone who is deaf, intoxicated, or unconscious, and that will be the end of you, they will keep on coming I blew my horn (in my car) once at a truck that was backing down a driveway and not slowing down as it approached the street. There was NO ONE IN THAT TRUCK.

    You don’t put a spring seat on a bike with suspension.

    I have a ‘59 sportster and the reason they have a spring seat is because the suspension is non existent. Modern bikes are a completely different story. The seat springs will work against the bike suspension.
