Lets be honest here, if the game had realistic physics so that the falling corpses coming down the slopes would cause impact damage, the horde would of won in the first ten minutes.

I think we had that with tyranids. I'm not familiar with this game but I can remenber some guardsmen were on the high ground, tanks shelling tyranids and their corpse were falling on guardsmen and killing them.

All imperial losses were from orcs corpses falling on the guardsmen.

I imagine the survivors of this battle, having stood ankle-deep in Ork blood for most of it, would wear their blood-stained boots with pride, perhaps even assigning some kind of regimental nick-name like "Blood-Boots" to commemorate the battle. Except, perhaps, the Kriegers who I would imagine would spend countless hours re-blacking and shining their boots to spotless condition.

Realistically, this would be absolutely horrific for the human forces. I mean imagine thousands of giant dead orcs rolling down a hill with nothing but blood and pure momentum as they likely crush you😂 I would fucking shit my pants if I was conscript seeing this

They are Korpsmen, their fear threshold is much higher Same for IG in general. They aren’t regular peoples like so many claims, they are hardened soldiers. You can hope to become an hardened soldier but most peoples aren’t… Edit: im an idiot and forgot about the conscripts in the video

The IG wins against Orks and shooty monstrosities (including eldritch horrors that can use literal magic from hell) on a regular basis. Orks who uses guns generally aim poorly tho, thats true

I kinda wish range units couldn’t shoot through one another.

Are you sure they were Orcs , as it seems that maybe they were beavers , considering how good they are at making dams .

The first video of these I just watched was a couple tyranid swarms over some guardsmen. In the books, when planetary war is described on planets with tens of billions of people inhabiting them, or even just a single hive on a planet, it describes the carnage in the millions. In our perspective, a war costing hundreds of millions of lives is certainly a lot, but in the scale of the 40K universe, those would be a small fraction. While the mechanics and physics of this game aren't anywhere close to realistic, I hope that any upcoming Warhammer media, including anything done by the Amazon series, they truly show the fact that tyranids would swarm attack points until their bodies literally blocked off/up guns and terrain. That certainly provides some challenge from a production point of view, but the insight that a modded combat simulator provides is eye opening.

Not sure if the orks were squishier than I thought they would be, or if there was just that much firepower being concentrated on them. Either way, this provided some really epic scenes. Great work.

Awesome videos, really cool idea. They provide such a visceral illustration, and you get a real sense in a way text alone just cant do. My only caveat, is that it would be nice to see a more static camera frequently, and without the timelapse. The views are amazing and fantastic, but you never get chance to soak it in and enjoy before the cameras moved off to somewhere else. I think itll be better for you aswell, to give you the opportunity to check notes and give a deeper description on the lore surrounding said battle, if thats what you wanted.

@@alexklingauf6588 The medusa V Campaign saw tyranids, necrons, orks, eldar, dark eldar, space marines, guardsmen tau and chaos all fighting on the same planet. I think that justifies a 70,000 scout party :D

Nah Tho in certain interpretation of the lasgun, this could make sense. They are high capacity direct energy weapons after all so it stands to reason they’d have quite a capacity

Actually it is pronounced "May-Ley", but thanks to the law of common usage "Me-Lee" is accepted :D It comes from the French word mêlée, which its self comes from the Old French word meslee, meaning "mixture." Meslee comes from the Old French verb mesler, or medler, which means "to mix."

You pronounce "cay-dians" as "cah-dians"... I didn't want to say anything at first, but several videos mispronounciations is making me speak up.

Dude, I am really starting to like your videos, but I cannot get past some of the slightly off things you say, mispronunciations mostly. Examples are "Cadia, Cadian", which is not pronounced 'caddya' or 'caddy-an' but *Kay-dee-ah/n*. Another is the word "deluge", where you say 'diluge' like '"dilute" which is not correct, popping up in a number of videos. And yeah, you know about Khorne now. Also since we're going for a kind of RP storytelling, immersion thing here with (really nice intro monologues!) I feel you should not talk about "pathing", such as "the Orks can't path here" or a "pathable area", in the sense of game mechanics. Basically try to stay in character between intro and outro. Nerd rant over. I think you've got something really fun going and I only wish to provide some constructive criticism. All the best!

It be cool and thematic to plan out the numbers knowing you'll drop a nuke or two mid battle to role play as air support as setting a nuke of the top of the mountain would have been interesting
