    To sum dynamic microphones using a Y cable, they should be wired in series, not parallel. It's probably best not to sum condenser microphones with a Y cable, but if you must, I'd use a parallel connection with 100 to 150 ohm resistors in series with pin 2 and 3 to each microphone (4 total) to keep the amplifier in the mic from unduly loading the amplifier in the other mic. Also, when making mic cables, I found it important to ensure that the shell was grounded to pin 1. The grounded metal shell can prevent low-level hum, especially if someone touches the shell.
