Your "spanish treasure" riminds me of the one i found that looked more like the real deal as its kinda corroded, but coming right out the sand and the first wipe revealed a gold colored cross you freak out a bit!

I am looking at getting this detector and i live in ohio but go to north and south Carolina and hit the beaches there do you have videos explaining the set up for the beach? Currently using a garrett ace 400

No videos showing the Deus 2 beach setting but the Minelab I think I have a few. With the Nox, run Beach 1 in dry and beach 2 in wet, adjust senstivity to the highest but stable setting and if the sand is really thick like clay, move the recovery speed to 4 and swing a little slower. I tend to run all metal mode and dig deep iron as many times it is not iron at all but being masked by the layers of minerlized sands. I hope that helps.
