I didn't even know La Rush was part of the "Rush" franchise by midway until last year lmao. I have played this game since i was a kid and have played some of the other rush games but i never realized it was the same franchise 🤣🤣

Never played this game but it seems to have an incredible damage model for a game that uses real licensed cars. A different era.

I don't think i played a more rage inducing game when I was younger. Even Reiji said it's infuriating to play. Still have childhood memories playing this

Boy, this game was the true definition of "Frustration" in my childhood.

great game. i love San Francisco Rush 2049 too. the stunt mode was really fun. it would be great to have a modern compilation of the Rush games

When I met Midnight Club LA I realized that Rockstar was 100% based on this game, mostly for driving mechanics and camera mode.

I remember not liking this game when I was a kid, but I'd forgotten why I didn't like it. Bought it again recently and I remembered why I didn't like it. Cars handle like total garbage and you can't customize the cars yourself. Sold it again for more than I paid for it, so it's all good. The only positive thing I have to say about the game is that it has some cars that have literally never been featured in any other games, so that's interesting at least.

when this game came out 2005 i was 8 yo this the best game i play after Midnight club 3, burnout, nfs mw etc. also the crash effect take inspiration from Burnout

Driving dangerously and not being rewarded for it seems like a lost cause... My Burnout instinct speaking. But no, this game was a solid game. I've played it.

the FUCK 2005?, the graphic for this game was ahead of its time.

This was one of those rare games that Pitbull Syndicate had done very decently on after a record of mediocre racing games such as the older Test Drive games from 4-6. The Test Drive reboot they had done in 2002 was alright, but L.A. Rush was definitely their peak game they've developed. Shows how much effort this game has compared to their previous work.

Test Drive 5 is the most decent title of the PS1 Test Drive games.

My first time seeing this game and the graphics could easily past for a PS3 game hands down

God I remember them advertising this game so heavily every time they aired Pimp My Ride on MTV here in Ireland because the WCC cast are in it. Its such a bad game. I remember not actually being able to customise the cars your own way. It was either a stock version of the car or the games own modified version and that's it

Its` a very difficult game. Hard to control the cars. Looking this gameplay , it seems so easy to play . Only in a few moments we had a crash with traffic or wall. This guy must have played this a lot.

Midnight Club meets Burnout, only not as good. LA Rush wasn't that hot, not by any means, but was kind fun in its own way. I remember being quite impressed at the visuals. It's not that the graphics were great, because they weren't anything to write home about, but the game's got this photorealistic look to it that I found so charming, the XBox version even had dynamic shadow maps for buildings, random objects, trees, as well as dynamic light shafts. Cool stuff back then.
